This is a Good School, and we feel we made the right choice of enrolling our kid in this school,he first attended summer camp where they taught him to read on our request within 6 weeks our son learned two letter words and three letter words it shows all of their hard work and commitment, especially miss lakshmi she is great teacher she has wonderful teachers who equally work hard on kids

This is the second year of my daughter's schooling at DMS. My daughter moved from one class to another because she wanted to be with her best friend. So I know all the teachers in both the classrooms and all of them are great. Ms.Laxmi is remarkable, I've never seen her raise voice or show irritation with kids. Parents can learn from her about how to talk to kids. They care about all aspects of a child's development, not just academic. I'd definitely send her for kindergarten too.

I think really highly of DMS and Ms Laxmi. She is an amazing educator. She monitors very closely at the students and teaches them when they are ready. Both of my kids learned to read chapter book and do multiplication/division just in two years. The staff are also very nice. Even though the school is small, but it is kept spotless. I would highly recommend DMS to any parents.

I don't quite understand the negative comments. I guess it's extremely hard to keep everybody happy. Even for a great school like this, there are still people who were upset. And usually upset people want to get their voice heard and happy people won't bother to comment. I just feel it's very unfair for DMS. That' why I wrote all this.

The thing about Dulles Montessori School is that differentiated learning is basically their entire philosophy. they put a ton of energy into closely observing and working with your child, and then meeting the child at their level.
Finding the window when they are ready to read, for example, recognizing that, and then jumping in at the right time. There are two teachers in each class, and while one is teaching, the other is often observing and taking notes.
I am pleasantly surprised by what they know about my child (3 days last week he was interested in working with such and such math project). We have been at DMS for a few years now. I am constantly struck by the variety of children and learning styles/abilities that the school caters to.
The caregivers are cheerful, loving, and respectful of the children in their care. The children in this school are well-mannered and articulate. They have the freedom to move from one activity to another so they are stimulated to learn and play. I highly recommend it! Vic

I don't know from where to begin...from Ms. Laxmi to her unprofessional staff, her inconsistent policies or to her teaching routine behind doors. I do not trust her with my child. My experience with this school and Ms. Laxmi has not been good. I would highly not recommend.

After enrolling my son in Dulles Montessori School I noticed a tremendous improvement in my son, within the very first year. We are personally very happy with teaching staff and the programs Dulles Montessori has to offer. I would surely recommend this school to all my friends who have children same age as mine.

I would highly recommend Dulles Montessori this school has been one of the most positive environments for my daughter, who I was amazed could read and understand mathematical fractions at the ripe age of 4. We salute Ms. Laxmi for creating such an enriched environment for the children to foster educational and overall growth, we would come here again for our newly born.

My daughter went to this school for 2 years. Boy, do I miss it! She learned a lot there and was far ahead of the kids in the 1st grade when she went to public school. I wish this school went all the way to High School! You will be happy your child attended this school.

My son's first day of school, I wanted to know how he was doing. I kept on calling all the numbers provided but I didn't receive any response. When I went to school and asked Ms. Laxmi, she informed me that she doesn't plan to hire a admin person who can attend the calls and she doesn't not take any calls on her cell as she teaches in one of the class. She further informs me that if the need arises then she will contact me but I can't get in touch with her at least before 3:00 pm. I felt in secured but I ignored this policy with a hope for a better school experience for my son.

Another problem I faced was that Ms. Laxmi has a highly incompetent staff. The next few days, I started receiving complaints from her that my three year old son doesn't share, does not sleep during the nap time and makes noise. Such complaints should not leave out of the class as it proves that the teachers are not capable of handling kids. She could not comprehend that my three year old was trying to adjust to the new environment.

The second week, while playing, my son accidently steps on a CD and breaks the CD. In the evening, my son's class teacher, Ms. Roma started yelling at me. I offered to pay her for the damage but she wouldn't stop. Talking to Ms. Laxmi made things even worse. The rest of the week, Ms. Roma would make faces upon entering the classroom. I decided to dis-enroll my son immediately. This was the worst school experience I have ever had.

During Dulles Montessori open house day, one of the parent decided to rule out this school. Upon asking the reason, they mentioned to me that the school's first floor class looks like a warehouse. They were right in a way but my main concern was the teachers and the program. While I had no doubt about the Montessori program, I was shocked to see that this school has highly unprofessional teachers. When walked into the school one evening, she was screaming at a parent. For me, that was the most unprofessional way to deal with any situation with any parent. I lost my trust in them and later discovered few more flaws in the school. I dis-enrolled my daughter and enrolled her in a more established and reputed school.

My child has gone to school here since the owner, Laxmi Chauhaun, opened 2 years ago and we are SO impressed with her as a teacher and the school in general. It exceeds our expectations in everyway. Our son absolutely loves going to school and has learned to read at age 4. Our daughter was also taught by Laxmi so we have known her for 5 years now. Every parent and child that attends Dulles Montessori School is happy with the school and the education they are receiving.
