Tavola Restaurant & Bar

Took my staff to lunch for the holidays. We were greeted warmly, immediately seated, and ultimately placed our lunch order (5 of us). We did notice that the restaurant was not very crowded. We all ordered sandwiches that ultimately took 50+ minutes to arrive. The food was quite good. The service was pleasant, but not prompt. We waited quite some time for the check, at which point I went and settled with the hostess just so we could all return to work. I'm not sure of the reason for the long delays between the order, the delivery and ultimately, the check. Was the kitchen understaffed? There was only one server, was she unable to keep up? My fear is what would have happened had the restaurant been more full. As it was it was a 2-hour lunch.

Tavola is by far my favorite place to dine out with friends & family. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff is friendly & attentive, and the food is excellent. I highly recommend dining out on the patio if the weather is pleasant.
