We wrote a fair review of your company based on the poor treatment we received but even our low opinion of Sterling Home Mortgages did not prepare us for the unfounded accusations and dishonesty in your response.

Firstly, you claim to pride yourself on being upfront. Clearly you are not upfront since you make promises you cannot keep, and do not contact clients on agreed dates.

This poor customer service has been remarked upon by several individuals across several websites over several months. Something which cannot be said of your positive comments which all bear suspicious similarities in terms of names, dates, terminology and the simple fact that many of your apparent fans have only one company in their review history!

Secondly you claim to be honest - i question the honesty and professionalism of any broker whose response to failing a customer is to accuse them of fraud, while simultaneously claiming the brokers poor conduct was actually a great ethical stance against this alleged fraud.

This is both defamatory and grossly misleading.

You cannot substantiate your accusation that we engage in fraudulent activity because you are wrong, and therefore you cannot mislead readers into thinking that you and your company have been anything but incompetent in this matter.

I look forward to your reply, providing of course you can supply facts to back up your libelous accusation of fraud. And remember this site appears on page one of google searches so probably worth saving the lies for clients over the phone.

Response Karen, you speak as though you were a client and we had promised something to you that wasn't delivered, this of course is not the case. We NEVER pulled credit, NEVER suggested a lender or program was available, NEVER quoted a rate and NEVER received supporting income and asset documentation from you. If you recall, the last communication we had with you we stated that we needed further documentation to better assess your situation. You agreed to send the income/asset documentation to us but unfortunately, we never received anything. Next, I received an email from you stating that you were going to "slaughter my name" on the Internet. Unfortunately without reviewing your documentation we were unable to proceed. Bottom line is that we were not able to find a loan that would fit with what you told us your situation was. The fraud comment was not to imply you or anyone participated in fraud; based on the small amount of information we did received, we did not see any legal way to get the loan done. I am glad for you that you were able to get the loan you needed and sorry you feel that your experience with us was not a pleasant one.

Michael Martell promised alot when we approached him about getting us a mortgage. He wasted our time repeatedly by not getting back in contact with us on several occasions. Then after I had to chase him up in order to get some answers, he passed me off to his co-worker Steve who then proceeded to do the same thing, took all my details over the phone and then never got in contact with me again. Luckily we found another broker who solved our problems and found a mortgage for us within 2 days! If you want to waste a couple weeks passing details and then not hearing back from this company, be my guest.

Michael Martell promised alot when we approached him about getting us a mortgage. He wasted our time repeatedly by not getting back in contact with us on several occasions. Then after I had to chase him up in order to get some answers, he passed me off to his co-worker Steve who then proceeded to do the same thing, took all my details over the phone and then never got in contact with me again. Luckily we found another broker who solved our problems and found a mortgage for us within 2 days! If you want to waste a couple weeks passing details and then not hearing back from this company, be my guest.

Tis the Season! Karen is a bit upset because we could not get her loan done based on the information she provided. The details were she was not a citizen, just started a new business in a different field that she has been in, she had earned zero income and wanted to get qualified for a loan. I told her we could not do it based on the info she gave us as did my team member. I personally reviewed the emails and communication to her from all of us and it was stated we could not get this done with our lineup of lenders. My team and I pride ourselves on being upfront and honest. We will never participate in fraud as it is out lives at stake and we just won't do it. I guess this one bad review is worth keeping our jobs and families safe. I am sorry to hear this review from someone who more than likely participated in fraud. Notice she didn't review the good broker who did the loan for her. Good luck to you in your future and Happy Holidays!

Mike Martell II was really professional and helped me to learn the lingo and understand my loan terms. I got a great rate, no hassle and honest service which is more than I have experienced with my past loan officers. I did the flat rate mortgage and saved more money than I could have else where. I had other loan officers call me and want my business but when I told them what Mike was charging, they said they couldn't do the loan for that. (and then said that he was going to get his money from the lender) I saw the settlement statement and there was no rebate from the lender. I paid 1k and lower my monthly payment a lot. I already have him talking to two of my friends who want the same deal!

This is the best loan transaction we've ever experienced. The best part of it all is that we only had to pay $1k in broker fees!! (not including our appraisal fee which we paid directly to the appraiser and the credit report fee). We have referred our friends and family to take advantage of this program!
