“Who Are We?” Located in Southpark area of Charlotte NC is the conception of two well known stylist, Pooran & Zahava. Having met in cosmetology school in 1999, the two have worked and trained together throughout their careers. Poza (a combination of the two names), opened July 18th 2006. Since your hair is our specialty, we offer only hair and hair removal services. We are a very small, private salon and welcome those who value our skill and space. Experience : We constantly monitor and learn from the latest trends both at home and abroad. Continuing our education with Vidal Sassoon Academy in L.A. , Miami , New York and London . I love getting a new modern haircut, and that is why I've kept coming back to Zahava for the last five years! She's always helps me decide what haircut would go best with my face shape, and that I can maintain on my own after leaving the salon. I never feel as beautiful as I do when I walk out of Poza!

I'm very finicky about my hair but I trust Zahava so much that I let her cut it all off from below my shoulders to a pixie...because she suggested it. She's super honest and will tell you what will and won't look good for you and your hair type.

I have curly hair ans have had hard time finding a hairstylist who can work with it. Until I found Poza. Pooran listened to me carefully and gave me the best hair cut I have ever had. Thanks pooran. I will definitely go back there to get the color she suggested.

My first experience at Poza was absolutely wonderful. As soon as I entered the salon I was greeted with warm smiles, and immediately felt at ease. I was under the care of stylist Sonja Van Meer, and she was great! Sonja was very attentive, she took time to listen to what I wanted, and also made some great suggestions that I had never even though to try. My haircut came out even better than I could have imagined. I left feeling happy and confident in my decision to choose Poza Salon.

My first visit to Poza will surely not be the last. I was treated like royalty the moment I walked through the door and was thrilled at the results. A professional environment with an accent on making sure the client is comfortable and my stylist, Sonja, was exceptional. She took the time to listen before starting anything and had several outstanding styling suggestions that I never thought of before now. I look forward to my next visit to try some ideas out and I am sure with the same outstanding results.

Its very relaxing and beautiful .Going there is a soulful experience as well as getting your haircut. You can listen to jazz, have some tea, look at books from around the world. Pros- The atmosphere, the staff, the talent, the drinks.
Cons- its not a caf and I can only go there when I need a haircut.

Location is convenient to shopping and food! I always look forward to my appointments with Zahava. She is the first stylist who could tame my cowlick. I have never walked out of a salon and straight to the mall or to a restaurant (until now). I use to go straight home, wet my hair and restyle. Always a relaxing, enjoyable experience at Poza Salon. Atmosphere, always a warm welcome, scalp massage! I wish I could come in every week, but cant.
