Great food, great atmosphere, lots of fun. If you want to experience a meal that is a little different than the run of the ordinary Tex-Mexes, or the usualy chain restaurants, try this one. We like it, and our grandchildren love it.

Babe's is home cookin at its best. Best fried chicken i have had. Mashed potatoes and gravy are to die for alon with the biscuits. The 1 Hr wait is well worth it. By the way...BYOB!

We just left Babe's in Granbury and were a bit taken aback by their lunch prices. Our young waitress suggested that we order two pieces of chicken apiece instead of the customary four pieces, which we agreed to. I thought the price would be lower, but was surprised to see the bill was over $33 for the three of us. (Each chicken dinner was $10.99). The chicken and vegetables are good, but I felt a bit gypped by the small portion of chicken. (I had a wing and a thigh).

Babe's food is quite good. I really liked all their vegetables and the fried chicken. The music, however, is so loud that it is impossible to communicate with others at your table or with the waitress. We had to repeat orders and questions to the waitress many times, sometimes by shouting in her ear, to be heard.
For my spouse and me, dining out is a primarily social occasion. We eat out three or four times each week, usually with a large group of friends. Being able to visit and communicate with each other is an essential element of this experience.
Good service in any setting is closely linked to good communication between the customer and those who serve. When communication breaks down, the whole experience is usually negative.
Does the management of Babe's Chicken Dinner House know what I or other customers think about their dining experience at Babe's? Do they want to know? Do they care? I visited their web site to see if there was any way to provide customer feedback and found that there was NONE, not even a 'contact us' link.
If you have already lost your hearing and really don't want to communicate with anyone while dining anyway, you may enjoy eating at Babe's Chicken Dinner House in Granbury, TX. Otherwise, select one of the quieter Mexican or Italian spots here, that's what we plan to do.

Babe's recently opened in Granbury. This place has good food! It's loud, touristy and the wait staff is young and ditsy, but the chicken more than makes up for it. If you've never been to a Babe's, you must try it. (the wait staff is attentive...they keep your drinks & plate full!)
