Bought my sons car from Family Auto back in May 2013 with a 3000 mile warranty (2001 civic with 146,000 miles) a few weeks after the warranty was over the A/C pump went out! the Honda dealer told me it would be 75.00 just to look at the car and 475.00 if they needed to replace it. I called Dwayne at family Auto and he found me a used pump for 45.00 and I paid All Car Care ( a shop he told me to call) 70.00 to install. A/C works great and my son is very happy with his Honda.

In February I purchased a 2003 Dodge Stratus R/T from "Family Auto Network" in Portland, Oregon for 3995. This car came with a WHEELZ warranty that promised coverage on engine and drive train for 3 months or 3000 miles. Two weeks after I bought the car, the transmission went out. I took the car to LeDuc's in Centralia, and they determined it was the transmission went out, and then I took it to Transmissions Unlimited, for a replacement. I contacted WHEELZ warranty, and they said they would not pay anything until I had the car inspected to see what the cause of the transmission going out was. They sent an inspector, and he determined that it was a part in the transmission that clogged the radiator, which caused the transmission to overheat, and burn up. It was completely fried, and couldn't even be rebuilt. Because the clog was in the radiator instead of the transmission, WHEELZ warranty refused to cover it. They hung up on me at least 5 times when I repeatedly told them that it was in the contract, that if the transmission went out, they would pay 1700. After a week of hassling with them, I came to the conclusion that they would not pay a cent. I then called the dealership, and told them what was going on. Sam said he was sorry, and would do whatever he could to help us out, and told us to get a quote from Transmissions Unlimited. The quoted price was 3900. When I told Sam this, he said that it was a rip-off and that they would find me a used or rebuilt transmission, and try to lower the price to 3000. He said to call back the next day. After a week of calling back ??The next day? Sam told me they couldn't find the transmission, but they would have a meeting about it next Monday, (it was a Friday) and to call back then. I called that afternoon, and they had not had that meeting yet, and would have it sometime that week. I called back every day, and finally he told me that he wanted to pay the whole thing, but he has a boss too, and is only allowed to pay half of the targeted 3000. They never did find a transmission, and I needed a car. I contacted Sam again and told him I was going to go ahead with what Transmissions Unlimited had decided, and Sam said at that price they wouldn't be able to pay half, and would only pay 1500, and to go ahead with it. Two weeks later, when the transmission was done, I called them, and they put me on hold for 10 minutes, and then hung up on me. I tried contacting them from several different numbers, and wasn't put through to Sam. I sent them two emails, and never heard back. Now I get to pay 8000 for a car that I had only planned on paying 4000 for. I would not have bought it, had it been priced at 8000.

I want to know how much dope people were on when they wrote negative reviews. The were obviously hallucinating!!!! I was referred there by the Ways to Work program. They are very strict about the type of car you can get. Therefore I knew I could trust them. I met with Sam, who is an extremely nice guy. He NEVER said or led on he was the owner. Don't pay attention to the bad reviews. I'm sure it's the other lots on 82nd posting them cause they don't offer great service like Sam & Duane. Keep up the GREAT job guys.

The dealership had the title to the car and a carfax! this was not the case at other small dealers i went to.

We bought an Escort for 2200.00 bucks and got a warranty.

I bought a $2000 1995 Saturn and have had no problems with the car. Dwayne and Sam are easy to deal with and not pushy or want to finance everything. I would buy or look for a car at family auto next time i need car.

Dear Family Auto Network,I just wanted to say that I'm sorry that I
couldn't buy a car from your lot. However, though I had lost my
opportunity to buy a car from your lot, nonetheless, in spite of my
lose, I believe that I earned the confidence of a dealership that I
could trust :) This was the first time that I've ever bought a car: I
had no prior knowledge of financing, car prospecting, nor the over-all
understanding of the wisdom required in the world of "used cars". I
mean, if it wasn't for the guidance and wisdom of my friend, Nick, I
could have been screwed in more ways than one from this experience.
However, among all the dealerships that I saw, like "Sunrise",
"Tony's", and "Fidelity", of all the dealerships along that "82nd
strip" even, "Family Auto Network" left one of the most strongest
impressions on me. You were the kind of dealership that made me want
to come back and invest my business--my trust--in. I know good
customer service when I see it, and I was very appreciative of your
non-aggressive approach in dealing with me. The character of your
dealership was politeness, professionalism, and, best of all,
genuineness. The prices of your cars were fair and true--I felt that
they let both buyer and dealer win in the end. I've always hated
haggling, hustling, and price-wars. It was a breath of fresh-air to
not have to barter. My only regret: I just wished that I had jumped on
my "gut instincts" the first time that I saw that 1995 Green Camry,
and deposited the cash to reserve my place for that car--instead of
waiting for the wife. Honestly, it really was quite sobering to look
online, and realize that the car had been "sold", and then to call and
have it confirmed as so. "Live and learn"? I guess.... Anyhow,
"Thanks" for everything! And should the opportunity come again to do
business with you, I will make sure to not dwindle-linger.May you
prosper and excel, Kong. P.S.I don't know if you remember me,
but I was the individual with the wheel chair.

Dont let them fool you, they are no different from any of the other used car dealerships. SAMs idea of making it right: I got to drive an hour and a half to scrounge a $30 part out of a junkyard. He was kind enough to pay for the part...not the labor to put it on, time off work, gas...thanks a bunch.

these guys would remind you of family if you are kin to a bunch of sleazy lying salespeople. The lures were thrown at us from the moment we said we were serious buyers. "oh, you want a Subaru, my 17 year old daughter drives one" & "oh, you're a vegetarian...so is my daughter." I doubt he even has a daughter. These guys are the reason car salespeople get a bad name. I believe every word out of Sam's mouth was a lie to earn our trust...and he is pretty good at screwing a young couple of newlyweds out of their hard earned cash. By the time we got home the rear wheel was wobbling, it was leaking alot of oil and the check engine light was on. Sam even assured my husband that the oil on his hands was road grime. Oh yes...road grime for sure. Expect a mark up of at least $1500 on all of their cars. Get it inspected BEFORE you buy it (and NOT) by their people. Or better yet, jut drive by them completely...it'll be one of he smartest decisions youve ever made.

I bought a car from Sam. He even begged me to buy from him. I asked what was the best mechanically running car he had. He pointed me to this passport. Before buying it he treated me like gold. He used lines like he's different from the other dealers on 82nd. He even told me he owned all the cars on the lot. He also said if something went wrong to call him. First off he is just like the other dealers on 82nd. Second he doesn't own any of the cars he's an employee and finally something went wrong and I called him. He would never give a straight answer. His coworker recommened I take the car to one of their mechanics which I did. I asked who was paying for this and they wouldn't answer me. At this point I'm making payments on a car I have yet to drive more than a day and I'm paying for everything. He even laughed at me when I told him what I thought. So if you want to get a run around go and talk to him. I wouldn't trust him. He already screwed me.

The whole experience was great! No pushiness, no trying to pressure us to buy there... nothing except for a nice, friendly atmosphere! Next time I am looking to purchase a used car, I'll be heading back to Auto Family Network! Great attitudes and great prices! A dealer down the street was selling the same exact car I got here for $1500 more... with a broken taillight and dents in the trunk!! The one I got here was in excellent shape!

I bought my first used car here, it was a Subaru wagon. They had fixed it up, and not only sold it to us for a good price, allowed for some negotiation but also serviced the car for us to improve it a little before we drove it away! The salesperson knew plenty about Subarus and was interested in actually selling us the car. Such a refreshing change from most of the other dealers on SE 82nd who were more interested in financing a car out of our budget. (DO NOT GO TO WORLD OF WHEELS!)

You may find something you like on their lot and if you do, I hope you have just as pleasant an experience buying it as we did!
