Before I even had a dog of my own, I used to go to Anne's play group to watch my sister's dog, Wilson. A couple of years later I had the good fortune of adopting Jenny, a rescued street dog from Puerto Rico, and we signed up for Anne's class right away. Jenny has truly blossomed with the training we have done. Anne teaches clients to interpret canine language, and communicate with dogs in a way they understand. We enjoy going to "Yappy Hour" every Sunday, and I always know that Jenny is safe, with respect to the facility, the supervision, and the other dogs in the group. I highly recommend Paws for Praise for training that is both effective and fun, and a playtime that will tire out even the most energetic dog.

I had to tell everyone why Anne does this. It's because she wants every dog to have a "forever home". When my mother died, and no one else could take her dogs, Anne took them. Not only that, but she took one of them, Fergie, to training when she was 15 years old, just so her students would know that it's never too late to train your dog. You won't be sorry if you train with Anne - after all, if she can train me, she can train anything!

Rosa, our 2 year old Border Collie cross, loves Paws for Praise, and so do
we. Currently she is enrolled in Rocket Recall, a class to teach your dog to come when called - every time! Anne Springer, the owner and trainer, knows and understands dogs like no one we have ever met. We have learned so much from Anne about dogs and dog behavior: what a specific behavior means, how a dog expresses a certain mood, how to best train your dog to have fun, yet be obedient and well mannered. I never knew why a dog turned its head when you hugged it. Anne's practical and easy to understand training methods make for quick learning, for both dog and owner. She makes sure neither dog nor owner gets bored during class, integrating play time with work time for maximum effect.

Rosa loves to go to Sunday afternoon Yappy Hour. There she can run and
play with other dogs in a large, clean, indoor room with lots of tennis balls, pull toys, squeaky toys, and plenty of cold water at break time. This is where she met her best friend, a 2 year old Australian Sheppard named Sequoyah. We highly recommend Paws for Praise and Anne Springer, whether for training or just having fun at the Yappy Hour play times.

I worked with Anne at Canine Consulting and she was awesome in class, and ran a super play group, too. Do it - sign up, you won't be sorry.

Message from Paws for Praise

Paws for Praise is a family friendly training center with a safe, double door entry system that allows puppy play and off leash training.

We use modern, positive, scientifically sound training principles that help you tell your dog, in terms that he can understand, exactly what behavior you expect from him, without causing the dog anxiety, confusion or fear. You'll learn how and when to use food, toys, praise, and environmental reinforcements so that you don't have a dog that only behaves when he sees a biscuit, but will think that being around you is the best thing since sliced bread. After all, didn't you get a dog to have that great dog/owner relationship?

We serve the North Shore of Massachusetts, Cape Ann, and the New Hampshire Seacoast, and are conveniently located, near all major routes, in Danversport, MA

We are recommended by many local vets - ask yours! We are educated, experienced, bonded and insured.

Training is fun - come experience the difference!!!!!!
