The ~Tomato Queen~ Is Tops At The Market
If you're looking for the best heirloom tomato plants you've ever seen, check out Audrey Deane, the ~Tomato Queen~ in booth 34 in the large shed. She grows fabulous heirloom and hybrid tomato plants, basil, zucchini, squash, cucumbers, and peppers in her backyard, not a greenhouse, in Webster. If you are looking for strong, healthy plants in unusual colors and stripes, this is the place!
Sign up on her website's guestbook at www.geocities.com/tomato.queen or e-mail tomato.queen@yahoo.com to get an early peak at her colorful guide for the extensive inventory sold on Flower City Sundays. Audrey's plants are also available at Thomas Landscaping in Webster, Harris Garden Center in Penfield, CountryMax in Ontario, and Grandpa's on Route 104 on the way to Sodus.
Also keep an eye out for her garden classes and tours, newspaper features and appearances on the Bob Lonsberry radio show on WHAM. The ~Tomato Queen~ has delighted customers for over ten years and looks forward to feeding even more families every year. Hope to see you at the market!

I love to go here on a Sunday morning for Garge Sale days. Individuals bring their garage sale items and more to sell. They are able to rent a booth area to set up and sell these items for $20-25. It draws people from many places in search of treasures and bargains.

Even though we live in the suburbs, my husband & I usually get to the public market a few times per year. It's great to see local farmers with their produce, but you can also get some fresh meat & seafood, as well as bakery items. Get there early for the best picks!
