Melissa B Hair

Melissa B is the best hairdresser I've been to. I am a fairly conservative (with regard to fashion) not at all stylish person. Melissa is very sensitive to YOUR look, YOUR habits, and YOUR personality, and she gives you a haircut that fits you but makes you look as good as you can. It is so refreshing after years of people who either want to work out their style dreams on your head or think you are so dull you're not worth putting any effort into. Melissa gave me a haircut that's zero maintenance, not ostentatious, looks like me only just that important bit better. A big part of Melissa's ability to do this, I think, is just the quality of her work. I got a haircut and wasn't able to come back for over 4 months - it only started looking ratty in the last few weeks. With cuts from other stylists, after a month and a half I'd start longing to neaten things up. Her cuts have staying power!
She is also a very straightforward, pleasant person who's nice to talk to while you're getting your hair cut. And her prices seem to me totally standard or on the cheap side for L.A.

I went to Melissa for a color and cut, after recently relocating to L.A. I'd been with my previous stylist for a very long time, was I was looking for someone talented and to build a rapport with, and that is definitely what I got! Melissa is wonderful, so personable, and her work is awesome. It's pretty remarkable that she can take a small image of what you're looking for and really make it work for you. I am so pleased with my hair! It looks and feels fantastic. I will absolutely be back. Thank you, Melissa!

Melissa B is the BEST!!!! The cut, color and Brazilian Blowdry she gave me were not only the answer to my curly hair prayers, but she was as nice and professional as could be. Plus the salon is cute, comfy and clean. After searching for years, I finally found Melissa B and I highly recommend her.

I just got back from my first haircut and highlight with Melissa at Capelli Lounge. I cannot understate how happy I was with the ambiance, service, and end product. Melissa is a great communicator and very comfortable in conversation. She listened like a pro and then provided a very articulate conceptualization of what I was hoping for in my haircut. Melissa cut my hair into a short, A-line bob with partial, very natural highlights. I could not be more pleased with my hair or my overall experience and recommend her without reservation! She is terrific--a real find!

I do. I used to live in LA, now I'm on the east coast. I still only get my hair done by Melissa. Sometimes there's quite a pause between hair appointments, but it's always worth the wait. I literally travel 3,000 miles for this one!

Melissa is a superb stylist with unmatched expertise in her color application. I have had a combination of both highlights and lowlights done over heavily processed hair and the results have been consistantly flawless. She has also consistantly given me great cuts that make my hair look healthier and sexier than ever! Melissa takes her time with clients and makes sure she understands what they want, but she also has a keen understanding of hair texture and knows what cuts work! Melissa is a great find. . .I couldn't be happier!
