I have been working with GoRenter for a few weeks know and we just found a great rental home right where we were looking! It took a little while, but the property managers over there were friendly and very knowledgeable. Ratings_icons GoRenter is evil and a bunch of crooks. IT IS A NIGHTMARE!

Rose n.

RUN NOW!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PPL THEY ARE CROOKS AND SCAM ARTISTS. Renting from these people is a nightmare, they will tell u what u want to hear to reel u in then good luck trying to get a hold of anyone after you sign a contract. Elise Kowan, David and everyone els there are crooks. They are the most evil coldhearted ppl we had ever had to deal with in our lives! I honestly do not know how they are allowed to do buisness at all. There is no such thing as customer service it is like they are all trained to try to squeeze out every last dime out of there renters. Any good reviews are written by there employees. Look a little deeper and you will find the truth!

Ratings_icons Best Website To Find A Home For Rent In Arizona

Zachary T.

I recently found a home for rent in Arizona using GoRenter.com. I first visited their website and quickly found a home that looked great. We went and looked at the property and decided it wasn't for us and that is when the property manager we were working with learned what we wanted and found us a home that matched our criteria. I was thankful for the help because I am so busy with work that this made our search fast...and we found what we wanted! I know how valuable a referral / recommendation can be and that is why I wanted to post this on the internet. So far I am very happy with the level of service we have received from GoRenter.com and their property managers. It made finding a home for rent in Arizona quick and easy.

Ratings_icons Glad I Called GoRenter.com To Find A Home For Rent In Arizona

Samantha J.

I was searching online for homes for rent in Arizona when I found GoRenter.com. I searched their website (which was awesome because they have this map that allows you to quickly find available rental homes by area) and found a couple of homes that I really liked. I had a bad experience with another propery manager at my last rental so I googled "GoRenter.com" and found all of these reviews. At first I was nervous because the reviews were mixed but as I read them I realized all the negative reviews were from renters that were not paying their rent on time (which of course they are getting charged extra fees). Obviously this pissed them off so they went online to complain. I decided to call GoRenter and go see the houses and their staff was so friendly and knowledgable I was very impressed. They took their time to find me the perfect rental home in Arizona and their contracts were easy to understand.

I have had a good experience with this property management company (unlike the last one) and wanted to share it with anyone else looking online for a home for rent in the Phoenix area!

Hope this helps,

Ratings_icons GoRenter Has Done A Fantastic Job Managing My Rental Properties In Arizona

James V.

As a real estate investor my number one concern was finding tenants that would pay on time and would take good care of my property. I choose GoRenter because I saw their advertisements in the newspaper and thought to myself if they are advertising this aggressively they probably have tons of qualified tenants to choose from and I was right! So far I have had them rent out three of my properties and each one has a great paying tenant in them at competitive market rents. I am very happy with their customer service and their maintenance department has handled every issue quickly and efficiently.
I would recommend GoRenter to any real estate investor searching for a qualified tenant and good property management company in the Phoenix - Metro area.

Ratings_icons GoRenter is no show repair and take all your money

Roben D.

I have rented from Gorenter since 11/2008. The day I moved in there was roaches running all over the house. I had no heating for 7 days and the kitchen sink and dishwasher was blocked for 15 days ( the first 15 days) I had to pay for the service fee for two repairs and great deal of my time and energy to accomplish that- Gorenter did not return phone calls or e-mails. The yard was over grown and they would not clean up the yard. I have citrus trees and both need pruning- a cost of over $500- they refuse to pay for the pruning. In June of 2009, a water leak in one of the bedrooms started and it took ME four days of calls and e-mails to have the leak repaired ( I paid the service fee again). The repair left a 2x2 plus hole in the ceiling--venting AC into the attic-- IT TOOK 56 DAYS- and multiple calls and e-mails and finally I held back rent and finally they sent out thier "maintaince person" out to repair the ceiling. My electric bill for those 56 days was over $800 dollars. Its sad a company can treat renters in such a way. I had to threaten Gorenter with a law suit before they would repair the ceiling.

I have been blogging about them since I signed up. My experience with them is still not finished. http://frasiec-fat-tire.blogspot.com/2009/07/gorentercom.html

So far the experience has been negative. Both from my perspective as well as my tenants.

Ratings_icons GoRenter is a good company to find an Arizona rental home from!

Tyler A.

I used GoRenter.com to find my rental home and they had some of the best customer service I have ever experienced with a property management company. Maybe my experience was unique, but they treated me great and really helped us sift through their large inventory until we found the perfect home. I really want to make a special mention about Dhana Groffore and Joe Eimone who were both exceptional employees. If the whole company is as outstanding as those two everyone should use GoRenter.com for their rental needs!

Ratings_icons GoRenter.com Has Done A Great Job As A Property Manager

Franky J.

I rented a home in Tolleson from GoRenter.com and right after I moved in there was a problem with the garage door. I called GoRenter and they immediatly sent out someone to fix the garage door. I appreciated their quickness to my situation. About two months later the air conditioning unit stopped working and they also responded quickly and got my air working again.

I see that there are a lot of people with mixed experiences with this company, but so far they have treated me and my family extremely well and have exceeded our expectations of what a property management company should act like. I suspect the people on here that are having a problem with the company are the same ones that pay their rent late or forget to mow their grass and get complaints from HOA's!

I recommended GoRenter.com to my cousin and he found a rental home within hours due to their large selection of properties!

Ratings_icons GoRenter are scammers?

Katie O.

Signed a lease back in April, property had just gone up and there were a couple things that needed fixing, which they assured would be taken care of before we moved in, but we thought the property was a great deal and signed a year lease. Pool was green when we moved in, said they'd fix the pump, but wouldn't pay for the green pool cleaning. So we took care of it, its $300 for a green pool cleaning mind you. They told us they had fixed the pump, skipping the finer details, it wasn't. Finally got them to send someone out after over a month of calls, mind you the pool had turned NASTY by this time, you could walk on the surface, but they refused to pay to actually clean the pool. So couple days before the pump was supposed to be fixed I paid for a $300 acid wash, a $200 water bill, and a $100 chemical bill. No one showed, took another 2 weeks to get someone out there to finally fix it, and the pool was green AGAIN. This time they paid for the green pool cleaning. Oh thanks! How generous.
Now, we moved in mid April, on the first of May we dropped off our rent at their office in Phoneix in the form of a check. First of June comes along and we again drop off our rent in the form of a check, we thought everything was fine. June 5th I get a letter in the mail saying they say they can't accept my payment as a check to my outstanding balance of over $2600, it needs to be in cash or money order. Mind you my rent is $875 a month. So I rush to their office and tell them there was some sort of mistake. Apparently my check for MAY rent had bounced, which still baffles me as I had double my rent payment in my Bank of America account, its the 5th of JUNE and I'm just learning this. So I had late fees for the entire month of May, court fees, totaling over $500, for a court date I had no idea about and missed (they say I was served), fees for a bounced check, and double fee's for my now late JUNE rent. I asked why they couldn't have picked up the phone on May 2nd and called when the check bounced, as I would have been there asap with cash. Their only reply was they 'Don't call when checks bounce, you were served'. I still haven't seen any court papers, I thought those were supposed to be hand delivered? Mind you we were calling them almost everyday for the pool, they never told us anything when talking to them. Maybe it was all just a mix up, but a small part of me feels like I've been scammed, how could it be a coincidence? It sucks, and it cost me ALOT of money.
So, in order to not get evicted, I paid the fees. And I now hand deliver my rent every month in the form of a money order. Just hope its all in the past cause I've got 7 more months with them...

Nathan R.

I have had a terrible experience with them. They at one time managed 3 rentals for me and I am down to one. They have an affiliated division called Gomaintenance LLC and they really, in my opinion, charge much higher than market rates for the work they perform on this side of the business.

If its anything like gorenter.com in the past you are screwed. I actually was sued by them in Nov 07. They sent me a renewal letter after we gave 30 day notice, charge 2 months rent along with late fees, attorney fees, processing fees, lunch money(ok thats a joke). But you catch the drift. Because of this, they never refunded my deposit. So I go to court with all my needed documents, of course copies for them too. They were shocked! So they decided to drop the case, cool. So before leaving I ask the Gorenter Rep about my deposit and was told, oh don't worry, we will have that out to ASAP. Nothing came in the mail. So 2 weeks later I call and I'm told that my deposit was refunded to the homeowner since they no longer manage this home and I would need to contact him. I replied that I had not signed a lease with homeowner. I took them to court in Nov 2008 and sued for my deposit beck and the judge ruled in my favor. The Rep for Gorenter was whining and arguing and saying they were not the same company, which blew me away! He said they bought Gorenter.com/Home America and they are now Gorenter.com LLC; The judge was not too happy with Their Rep, Greg was his name. Even when walking out, he was arguing with me and telling me I would never see a penny. Well so far, he is right. I have not seen a red cent from them. And quiet honestly I'm sick and tired of even thinking about this. Gorenter.com, Property Masters, Home America, with or without Mark B.

The day will come where they have to answer for all their wrong doings! I'm ready to participate in legal action against these people once again.

If you think you can help me with this process, Post and I will read. I will check every single day for new postings.
All I want is what's owed to me. They refuse to pay, but that will change!!!

Ratings_icons GoRenter was not a good experience

Be wary about their service. Include a contract addendum for important property details. They have poor communication when tenants have problems. There are lots of fees that they ding you with associated with everything from marketing to clean up to this and that. They will also charge you annual fees twice in a year. They will also raise fees any time. They are crazy militant about collecting rent and fining tenants. Mine moved out because they fined them $200 for being late. If you have a ghetto property, Gorenter is the manager for you! However, they will charge you about $600 at the start for "marketing" which is a yard sign and their website listing. I had to list my property myself on craigslist.com!
They do have great accounting though. :-)

Ratings_icons GoRenter Is A Great Property Management Company In Arizona.

Jack M.

Had a great experience with GoRenter.com as they quickly got my three rental properties rented for above market rents. They had great customer service and actually helped me understand how to be a better investor by explaining the in's and out's of the property management process as well as helping me get an understanding of local rental rates! I was recommended to take my rentals to gorenter.com and I am glad that I did...know I highly recommend them to others as well. Website is www.GoRenter.com and they phone number is 602-512-4406.

Ratings_icons GoRenter has horrible customer service

Natasha H.

This company will do anything to avoid giving good service to a renter. From the very beginning I had to struggle to get the type of service I am used to receiving from other rental companies Upon arrival there were bugs and dirt everywhere in the apartment, broken appliances, missing keys, and paint supplies everywhere. Getting in contact with a manager takes at least a week only after numerous calls, emails, etc. More often then not I have been told that they are unable to help me or reimburse me for missing pipes, cockroaches that were in the apartment when moving in, and broken washers and dryers. Not only that, but I receive bills and fees that are totally bogus! Moving out now, would not recommend GoRenter to my worst enemy. I will be surprised if they dont find a reason to keep my security deposit. Beware!

Ratings_icons What fraud! This company is horrible-RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!

Joel C.

This company is being managed by Alan Davis and Berne Fleming who have been running and managing it for the last 4 years (this includes all of the time of fraud and investigation and illegal activity-yes...same people). Alan's wife (Debbie), sister (Emily) and kids, cousins and church friends all run it. Berne Fleming's daughter is the head property manager there her name is Ronnele.Talk about a bunch of frauds and liars. He posted above that it was new management and new people running this company, no it's not. I regret referring people here. The most horrible service, the contracts and promises they make are all lies and they have hidden charges and unauthorized fees that they constantly debit your account for. Alan Davis drove trucks and Berne Fleming managed a pizza parlor before this, no wonder it is such a disaster.I have had the worst experience of my life dealing with the employees and management at this company, and I was actually referred by friends/family who all like myself now deeply regret working with GoRenter.com.There are many other, more reliable and honest companies out there who can help tenants and owners, don't let the false promises of this place fool you. Also, their property managers are not licenced and they disguise it by calling the customer service reps, check out their violations with the Arizona Department of Real Estate if you want proof of their multiple violations and illegal acts. I don't know how they are still in business.

GoRenter.com LLC is committed to providing the highest level of customer support, the finest homes & the best prices in Arizona. This person had an unfortunate incident and is taking it out on us personally. There are over 50 residential and commercial leasing agents; 5 IT personnel and plenty of people that are not related to Berne or Alan. This person feels we are all somehow inter-related which is simply false. We welcome his review but ask you to form your own opinion. Check out GoRenter.com today if you are looking for a great home!

Since the end of 2008 GoRenter.com LLC has been under new Ownership & Brokerage. The previous reviews were certainly valid under the past group but our 50 agents want to work on any problem you have. We offer the highest quality lease or property management options. Managing over 2000 properties throughout Arizona!

GoRenter.com LLC has been known by many names in the past (Property Masters of America, Home America Property Management) but now is entirely separate from them. Mark Bosworth is not associated or affiliated with GoRenter.com LLC in anyway.

My husband and I entered into a contract with Home America that changed it's name immediately to GoRenter. The down was $4150.00. That's a lot of cash, but we thought we were making an investment into buying the home. They told us the house had a washer/dryer, it did not. They told us our rent was late. It was not. The fees alone equaled a car payment for us. It was never itemized or substantiatied in a way as we asked. When there were serious problems with the plumbing and termites, they told us they we were treat it like owners and pay for it ourselves but they wanted us to us their repair people that charge four times more than others. When the house was appraised it appraised for $150,000.000 less than what they wanted, but we were told we can only buy the house for that amount, but we would not and can not get a loan for more than appraisal but that much! Also, they have been sued and just keep changing their name. We were quickly evicted after trying to pay just the rent and not the unsubstantiated fees, we managed to live paying rent elsewhere with no problems for years until we signed with them. NEVER AGAIN! You can look up their name or names at www.ripoffreport.com . They claim that you can own a house through them by renting, but I have yet to find anyone that has actually been able to get that to happen since their system is fixed to not allow it. and I have yet to hear of anyoe being happy with their experience with this company whatever name they are using at the time: Home America, GoRenter, Mark Bosworth properities. etc.

Ratings_icons Dont use Gorenter !!!

Anonymous

Two years ago I entered into a contract with this company on a lease / purchase arrangement for a home in Surprise, AZ. Soon after moving in, a series of unusual things began to happen regarding our relationship with Gorenter. First, after mailing our rent to their office many days in advance, we would later receive notice that it was late, so we were penalized with late fees. This occurred several times. We began hand delivering our monthly payments to the Gorenter office in Peoria and on one occasion were told that they do not accept payments on a walk in basis. We still walk it in anyway. Second, on two occasions our rent had suddenly and without warning gone up by $200 dollars. When i went into the Gorenter office for an explanation, they had none, they would simply deduct the overcharge without question and go about their business. Finally, the home is now in foreclosure AND it will be auctioned in July. Gorenter could'nt sell us this home anyway!
