Boca Grande Restaurant is a unique Mexican experience. The hallmark of our cooking is fresh, healthful food characterized by distinct but subtle flavors indigenous to the Oaxaca region of Central Mexico. Our time-honored recipes, which combine simple grilled fare with Mexican spices and natural flavors, will keep you coming back for more. We at Boca Grande are committed to serving fresh, healthy food that is well balanced and nutritious as well as flavorful and interesting. None of our dishes or recipes contain any chemical preservatives or processed food items. All of our sauces and marinades, including our hot sauce, are made on the premises with fresh ingredients.
That is the extent of my Spanish on the subject, and that is exactly what Boca Grande is, just so-so. The burritos aren't terrible, but they aren't great either. The guacamole is bland and the chicken was really fatty on my visit. Do yourself a favor and walk a couple blocks to Anna's, it will be worth your time.

I ordered an al pastor quesadilla and my only complaint is that there was not pineapple. Otherwise it was one of the best quesadillas I have ever had

It's hard to get burritos in a place that doesn't feel like hokey Tex Mex. Boca Grande feels more like a small restaurant in Mexico than most places do. Their platters are pretty under-rated as people tend to do autopilot and just go with the burritos. Definitely worth a stop in if you are in the Coolidge Corner area.

Big burritos, good selection. Average burrito place.. better selection and bigger burritos than boloco but not better taste. Alright for lunch or very casual dinner. It's an order and then sit kind of place. Great location, nice people. But I'd rather qdobas or boloco I think
