Flat Iron is one of those places that can go either way. Sometimes you order the right thing and the food is fantastic. Sometimes you go wrong and get a salty mess. Same goes for the service. I say try it, and see what happens.

Menu Changes have been a positive addition to the flat iron. Calamari is always on point. You have got to come and enjoy the breakfast. Frittatas and Omelets, stuff to stick to your ribs baby!

Our first time at The Flat Iron Tapas Bar and Lounge was so abysmal, I am utterly dumbfounded that it remains in business. The evening began with a 40 minute wait for our coctails. Followed by another 40 minute wait for our French Fries,

Pros: Close to the Garden

Cons: Everything else!

It is in a hotel, so you never really know what type of crowd you will get, but the food is solid and the experience is nice. Tapas are wonderful. these are done with more of an American flavor to them so it is not abnormal to the palate

This was my second time at Flat Iron Tapas, and it was nice to see a few new menu items. Some of the old dishes are still available, but, I just had to try the new goods.\r
The drinks...spectacular as usual.\r
For dinner, my wife and I,

I consider myself to be a pseudo foodie with a good amount dining out experience in Boston and I must say this is one of my favorite places, well, for small inimate dinners. \r

The ambience is relaxed yet somewhat swanky with low

Good tapas done with fresh ingredients make this a nice choice for an afterwork drink/bite or a casual type date. Service is okay. We ate at the bar, and the bartender was nice and helpful, but the guy who was the restaurant manager was annoying, loud and cocky.

Be forewarned, none of the 5 or so martinis we tried actually tasted good. They looked pretty, sounded creative and had a ton of alcohol, but generally tasted just like the alcohol. I'd stick with whatever your standard is rather than ordering off here.

Also, somewhat annoying that the bathroom is down an elevator and down a hall...

Pros: Ambience, tapas

Cons: House cocktails taste like gasoline
