awesome massage and a great person
by gham
I don't understand all the negative reviews. I have been a client since Diane started her business. She is attentive, and thourough with her massage. She is more than reasonably priced and has been the best mt i have worked with.
She is currently out of town due family issues. I highly recommend her!
Pros: good location and a great experience
Cons: none that i know of

Stood me up. Left me hanging. Ruined my day.
by renucci
I made an appointment with Diane for Saturday at 2 PM. I called her number on Saturday morning to confirm, but was dropped into voicemail and left her a message. I went to her location, and was expecting her to greet me outside the entrance as she promised, since there's no buzzer -- you need a key to get in. She wasn't there, so I called her again to confirm the address, but again, got her voicemail and left her a message. I re-checked the address using my phone's internet connection, and I was indeed at the right place. 40 minutes and two voicemails later, no call back, no Diane, no massage. Now, over a day later, still no call from her to explain herself.
After returning home, I did an internet search on Soleus Massage and found this set of revealing reviews on Citysearch. Before my review, Diane had 9 very positive reviews, and 2 reviewers complaining about having been stood up like me. I can only conclude that Diane is a very talented masseuse, who, most unfortunately, can also be very irresponsible. These cannot all be misunderstandings; the previous reviewer was right: it's a pattern. Moreover, she has demonstrated acute immaturity, as evidenced by her stubborn denial of any accountability in her rebuttals of the two negative reviews. One such head-in-the-sand rebuttal is likely to follow this review shortly. Note to Diane: you *really* do have a problem meeting your commitments, and your business will continue to suffer until you deal with it!
Moral of story: buyer beware, she may well stand you up; but if she doesn't, you're apparently in for a good massage. I, for one, will be seeking other massage providers.
Pros: She's a pro at having you wait endlessly.
Cons: She conned me -- period!

stood me up too!
by soleilsinclair
Highly unproffesional. She called my home # day of my appointment to ask me to call to re-confirm my, already established, appointment, she didn't call my cel which I had given her in case of problem on day of appointment, didn't even leave a note on her door. I'm left standing at her door wondering where she is. Called her # got cel phone. Stupid of me to have ignored the review of the other client she left standing at her door. I would say this makes it a pattern. I live in Oakland, I'm an older woman with back pain, sure spoiled my day.
Pros: ?
Cons: unproffessional, poor communication , inconsiderate

Blew off my appointment
by ushipb00
Called left a message. called back 24 hrs later. Made appointment for 1 pm. Waited at office outside door untill 1:30pm. Called left 2 messages outside on cell phone. Still no call back. Very unproffesional, at least call and explain the situation if going to be late or no show.
Pros: Clean room
Cons: Small Massage office, Unproffesional, No call to explain

Perhaps the best massage in San Francisco
by dlbdlb
Diane Dillon understands therapeutic massage in a way that makes her far better than others around town. By making her rates comparitively affordable, she makes it more possible for working people to get access to this kind of treatment in an ongoing way. I see her once to twice a month and her commitment to getting to the core of an ache or soreness - or in my case, a repetitive strain injury in my back - has made her an indispensible part of my ongoing healthcare. She's real friendly, too.
Pros: smart, dedicated, affordable

Great Massage for a great deal
by promotersf
I've been getting massages for the last 5 years after getting into a car wreck...and i've always been trying new CMTs to experience different techniques. There are 2 that I see on a regular basis, and I will be adding Diane from Soleus to make it a Three Amigas All Star Massage list. Very good deep tissue work in a relaxing environment. Soleus maintains a comfortable tasteful studio, not one of those sterile white rooms. Diane amazingly was able to loosen up my tightest trouble spot...my calves thank her!
Pros: Great Massage, Good Technique, Good Price

Diane is a great massage therapist
by hollydogsf
I have been going to Diane since she started less than 2 years ago. For someone who is still pretty new in the business she knows what she's doing. Really good if you like deep tissue and trigger point/shiatsu blend...and she does some good stretches. Great Value and a nice studio she operates out of. Give her a try!
Pros: value, skill
