I made an appointment with Diane for Saturday at 2 PM. I called her number on Saturday morning to confirm, but was dropped into voicemail and left her a message. I went to her location, and was expecting her to greet me outside the entrance as she promised, since there's no buzzer -- you need a key to get in. She wasn't there, so I called her again to confirm the address, but again, got her voicemail and left her a message. I re-checked the address using my phone's internet connection, and I was indeed at the right place. 40 minutes and two voicemails later, no call back, no Diane, no massage. Now, over a day later, still no call from her to explain herself.
After returning home, I did an internet search on Soleus Massage and found this set of revealing reviews on Citysearch. Before my review, Diane had 9 very positive reviews, and 2 reviewers complaining about having been stood up like me. I can only conclude that Diane is a very talented masseuse, who, most unfortunately, can also be very irresponsible. These cannot all be misunderstandings; the previous reviewer was right: it's a pattern. Moreover, she has demonstrated acute immaturity, as evidenced by her stubborn denial of any accountability in her rebuttals of the two negative reviews. One such head-in-the-sand rebuttal is likely to follow this review shortly. Note to Diane: you *really* do have a problem meeting your commitments, and your business will continue to suffer until you deal with it!
Moral of story: buyer beware, she may well stand you up; but if she doesn't, you're apparently in for a good massage. I, for one, will be seeking other massage providers.
Pros: She's a pro at having you wait endlessly.
Cons: She conned me -- period!
