Andre Richard Salon

i am exceptionally particular about who can get their hands on my hair, and after going to andre richard salon for almost a year, i will not let ANYONE else cut or color my hair. the enviornment is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. they arent snobby (like i have experienced at other salons) and they are willing to do whatever to achieve whatever style you are looking for. i would absolutely recommend andre richard!!! he does a great job!

Andre and his staff are friendly and welcoming. After trying a few different salons in the city, I went to Andre for a complete makeover. His consultation was amazing. I took photos with me, and he explained why different cuts and colors were appropriate for my face shape, skin tone, etc. and provided recommendations. I've never been happier with a haircut and color before! I thought I knew what I was doing after having colored my hair several times, but was amazed to learn completely new things about my hair and skin.

I have been a client of this salon for about a year. My hairdressor Jeff is awesome! His schedule changed and I was unable to see him due to conflicts in my schedule. I made an appointment to see Andre later in the week and he told me that he could squeeze me in between clients. To make a long story short I lost my phone for 24 hours before my appointment. Once my phone turnedup I had missed my conformation for my appointment and therefore missed my appointment. I called back to apoligize and reschedule. Andre continued to tell me with an attitude that I was not professional. Asked me WHY I did not check my voicemail while I did not have my phone and I felt like I was disciplined by my salon!! On top of that...... in order for me to make another appointment I would have to immediately pay for half of the services that I would have had done during my scheduled appointment. That would have been around $80-$100!!! I am all about admitting to mistakes and paying a fee if I am late or dont show up but the bottom line is that is OUTRAGEOUS!!! I could never make another appointment at this salon because of the way that I was spoken to. Although I love Jeff to death Andre Richards Salon has definately lost me as a client!

No matter what happens......I am still the client and should have NEVER been spoken to that way. I have never not shown up for an appointment. I may have called within 24 hours and canceled. Either way this salon still lost a client and the OWNER was VERY rude. I apologized and even tried to make another appointment. How could I show my face after the way I was spoken to? I am sorry if this salon feels that the best way to approach the situation was in the manner it was.

I got blonde highlights from Andre about a month ago and I simply can't say enough! Though he hadn't done my highlights before, he blended the new ones PERFECTLY. He first suggested changing the base but when I told him I was on a budget and didn't know about all of the maintenance he was SO ACCOMMODATING and wove 3 different colors of the most beautiful highlights i've ever had. I've been getting my hair highlighted for about 3 years now, everywhere from New York to Los Angeles (and I always do plenty of research to find the best places) but still these are probably the BEST I've had yet! They're warm, golden, shiny, beautiful highlights. I get so many compliments! He also gave me a leave-in Phyto treatment with my highlights and me hair feels so healthy. I warned you that I couldn't say enough! I live in NY for the summer but I'm seriously considering making the trip to Philly when it's time to get my hair re-done. A++++!

Andre is one of the MOST TALENTED stylists Philadelphia has to offer! His knowledge and talent in all the new cutting and color techniques is endless. Everytime I get my hair done, people stop me on the street and ask who did it. I send everyone I know to see him and they leave thrilled with what he does to their hair! Not only is he tremendously talented, but he really cares about the health of your hair and carries the Phyto line which is the BEST IN THE BUSINESS, hands down. My hair has never been so healthy and beautiful!

The experience of going to his salon is superb. You are treated like royalty from the moment you call to make your appt. Every stylist and staff member has been hand-picked by Andre himself and each person has something different and equally amazing to contribute.

The Andre Richard Salon is a gem in the heart of Midtown Village and its growth is bringing such great energy, vitality, and beautiful hair to this area of the city!
