I go to the Oceanaire Seafood Room for their raw oyster bar. They have a huge selection of wonderful fish and seafood, but the oyster bar is my absolute favorite. I'm treated like a celebrity every time I go in.

I love this place! There was nothing bad about it! The greatest service from Chaz and Maria. The managers treated us great. Now lets get to the most important thing. The food! It was the best food I have ever tasted. The sides were even great. It wasn't regular sides. The chef is great he took regular sides like corn and made it taste like the best corn in the world. It was the most fantastic food. I have two words for anybody that goes here. Crab Cake! That was the best! Best Meal I ever had!

I wanted to find a special place for dinner to take my date, and this place exceeded all my expectations (and hers!), The staff was very attentive and friendly, and the food sellection was wonderful. Everything served is fresh and flown in each day. The selection of fish and wine is not to believed. You can see from the attitude of everyone, they wish their guests to have a wonderful dinning experience. I looked at some of negative comments made about this place and I can only say they must have been talking about another place! The only "problem" I had with the place was that with so much variety on the menu it was hard to decide what to order!!

The Oceanaire Seafood Room is truly a unique experience compared to all the Orlando restaurants available. It is the one place I can go and know when I walk through the door I will be greeted by the management and host staff as if I were family. The staff is knowledgeable on the drinks and menu to help you make the right choice of what to have. The atmosphere is like a relaxing getaway..I love the palm trees and oyster bar! The food is out of this world. I cannot go without having the fried calamari and lump crab meat appetizers! You really can?t ask for a better restaurant. It is the one that you will talk about after you leave wanting more.

Dining at the Oceanaire was truly pleasurable. Our party of six was seated promptly and treated royally. The manager and wait staff were attentive and solicitous. The food was superb. We ordered six different entrees and each was prepared perfectly. The portions were more than adequate and each entree was accompanied by some exceptional side dishes. The wait staff was especially helpful regarding side dishes and portion size. Topping it all of was some exquisite desserts.

All in all, the Oceanaire is a delightful dining experience. I only get to Orlando two or three times a year but you can be sure that the Oceanaire will be part of each visit I make. I'd love to see one in Tampa or Sarasota in the near future.

After visiting the Oceanaire Seafood Room in Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC, I was prepared for a quality dining experience. Orlando topped my expectations in every respect!

The appetizers and entrees were superb and the desserts exquisite. The food is matched by top notch service that is delivered in a timely and professional manner.

As far as I'm concerned, the Oceanaire is not only one of the best seafood restaurants in Orlando; it's one of the two or three of the best restaurants serving any type of food in the city. Don't mss it!

What a pleasant surprise to find a top-notch seafood house in Pointe Orlando. I just thought I would go to the movies at the new theater there, and stumbled upon the best crab cakes and biggest martinis in town. The calamari was spicy and the gigantic warm brownie had puddles of hot fudge and hot caramel. I wish I had known about the valet parking (free) before I parked in the garage for the movies. Service was good, food was excellent.

I heard this place was voted Best Seafood Restaurant in Orlando and I saw it on the morning news, so I decided to try it for a birthday event. Great bar, great appetizers, beautiful decor, the best desserts I have ever had. It was definitely a memorable event. It was too hot to go out on the patio, but we will try that at another time of the year. This place is like no other seafood place in town - very stylish and high quality.

My husband and I dined here for our aniversary. When we entered the restaraunt both the manager and host greested us, the manager said that it would be just a moment as he sent the hostess to set us up a booth, which was appreciated since this is what we would prefer. About 5 minutes later we were seated by the hostess at a table, not a booth. The hostess replaced my white linen napkin with a black one, as I was wearing a black skirt, what a nice touch and great way to add that little extra. Our server Alberto promtly greeted us and gave us an overview of the wine list and menu. A lady who was the service assistant quickly brought us water, bread, and a small relish tray. We ordered escargot as an appetizer, it was just okay, a lttle bland. I ordered the Salmon Oscar and my husband ordered the stuffed Louisana Redfish and a side of Asparagus to share. Our entrees were delivered to our table and our first bites were delicious and the asparagus was the biggest we had had ever seen. As we began to eat our entrees my husbands first 5 bites all had scale and bones in it. He would have delt with 1 or 2 but when you pay $30-$40 dollars for a peice of fish you would expect not to find any. So he told Alberto who quickly returned it and spoke with the Manager. The Manager did what I would call a "walk by" table visit and stated that sometimes this happens as the fish really is fresh and then appologized as he walked away. I finished my entree with only 2 bites that also had scales and shared a few bites with my husband. About 15 minutes later my husbands new entree was delivered, this time with no scales or bone. Overall the experience was good, the entress really were delicious and the service from both Alberto and the assistant was impeccable. We were just annoyed with the laziness of the prep work and with us having to eat our dinner seperatley. I thought that at least dessert or a round of cocktails would have been offered by the manager for this inconvenience.

My husband and I eat out often and we are not too impressed with any seafood restaurant in Orlando; however, we walked out of the Oceanaire thinking it was one of the best meals we had ever had. I am a huge clam chowder fan and they had the best I'd ever tasted. The crab cake was almost all crab meat and full of flavor. My husband had the Swordfish served on top of carmalized onions - delicious! I ordered the Mahi Mahi with a Thai sauce served with sticky rice - delicious as well. We ordered two sides - creamed corn and spinach polenta with mushrooms. They were so good we could have had just the sides for our meal and been content! Everything from the decor to the service to the presentation of the food was top quality and worth every penny. I don't say this very often, but I don't have a single complaint about our experience at Oceanaire. The managers were pleasant and the service was spot-on. Orlando finally has a decent seafood restaurant!!

It is a funny thing indeed when the General Manager of what he claims is an excellent restaurant has to stoop to the low level of making a fake name and be the first one to post a bogus and very bias review of his restaurant. Clearly he knows and has no faith that the reviews will be the same unless he embelishes the reviews himself. Im talking about the first review on here for the oceanaire. It was posted by the G.M. to make his restaurant look good, quite pathetic! He even mentions to his employees to go on here and write raving fake reviews to make the restaurant look better, what a shame, it goes to show the lack of confidence and ethics the management staff of the oceanaire has.

The Oceanaire Seafood Room has only been open since Memorial Day 2007. It is right next to Capital Grill on International Drive in Point Orlando (where FAO Swartz use to be) and is not really showing up in the reviews much yet. It is an exceptional dining experience. Their Ultra-Fresh Seafood is well prepared which is not always easy to find in Florida (go figure). The Wahoo was exceptional as was the Marlin and Swordfish. The Shrimp and Grits appetizer was notable as was the crab cake. The Baked Alaska was fun to see presented and even better to eat. The staff was personable, well trained and paid attention to the details. We were celebrating a Birthday and my mother really appreciated the menu printed in honor of her special day as well as being presented with a card signed by the staff. Just made it a memorable night. Even the bathroom is fun to visit with several jars and containers of lotion, makeup aides and mouthwash made available. These people really know seafood, so if that is what you seek, you can not go wrong here. Loved the music playing in the dining room. There is complementary valet parking that did not pose much of wait even though it was very busy when we left. Only constructive criticism I could offer is I feel the key lime pie missed the mark a little in depth of flavor but I am a bit snooty on the subject, having grown up on the treat right from a little place on Islamorada on our way back from fishing trips. But it was close. {smiles} Side portions and desserts are LARGE and we felt the meal was well priced.

Upon first entering the doors to the Oceanaire Restaurant, I was greeted with a friendly smile. There was no wait for a table as my arrival was closer to the end of the evening though. The decor was clean and simple yet elegant and inviting. Replicating an ocean liner's dining room, there was even a hint of background noise which resembled an engine. Great music from the 30's and 40's were also in the background.

Our waitress was welcoming and very knowledgeable about the menu. I had the Salmon "Oscar" dish that was surprisingly filling even though the amount wasn't a lot. A salmon fillet on a bed of asparagus and covered with King Crab legs. Excellent!

The dessert was "To die for". I ordered the Creme Bule, which was big enough for my partner and I, and the taste was right on.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody that enjoys a slower pace dinner experience to get away for a few hours from the fast paced tourist city. Though the price is a little high, it is something I can deal with for a dinner that makes me know that there is a place where I can sit back and enjoy all aspects of a true dining experience.

Lets start with the vitals. First the average plate here is between $20 and $30 dollars. They have a broad selection of wines so take your time it?s worth it.

As for attire, while they accept casual attire, you?ll probably feel out of place if you go too casual, because the Oceanaire and its staff are setup as a formal dinning experience. The service, is second to none, they are attentive and responsive, but not in an overwhelming manner, they just make sure you?re needs are being met, but give you space to relax and enjoy your dinner.

Portions are large, so bring your appetite. When you order your meal, you are probably going to have leftovers. The sides can be shared since they are really large and can easily be split between two people the Oceanaire encourages this practice.

The appetizers are excellent and are also large portions.

If you?re looking for a place to impress your date, the Oceanaire will do it, but it comes at a price so keep that in mind. For couples and family the Oceanaire caters to both, so don?t be afraid to bring the family.

I live in Orlando and try to stay clear of I-Drive. However, I took the risk and found this experience to be truly worth any inconvenience I-Drive may offer. There was a warm greeting at the door, including a handshake and a smile. I was greeted by name at the table and was even offered a black napkin (nice touch!). the food was superb and the service was attentive, engaging and never pretentious. Youcan tell the employees are happy to be there. I told the Managing Partner (Dory) to remember me when they are packed every night. What a great and necessary addition to the area!
