Slow service, good beer 4 Star Rating - Very good

If yougo on the weekend, don't count on finding anyplace to sit during the dinner hours. If you land a seat ata table, expect a long wait for your watress, but if you get a bar seat you're good to go. They have a fantastic beer selection, and if you come on the weekend you get a good mix of age groups. A good night brings in some particularly hot women, but don't count on it all the time. Food selection is excellent and quite tasty, although as I said table service can be very slow. Overall, a great place to hang out and dine.

Pros: great selection of beers
Cons: slow service if you want a table

Good food, good atmosphere, very good prices. 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

The old Lincoln Park is certainly making a go at being a true destination. Still, knowing the previous clientle for which what is now Twin River was known, namely those who are 9.5 million years old and those to whom dental hygiene means little, I did not enter with high hopes. Aside from the same old clientle, Twin River and its selection of restaurants impresses.

White Fado does not impress as much as its Twin River roommate, Fred & Steve's Steakhouse, it was still a good restaurant. Entering the place, I was struck by how large it was. It seemed to continue onward in all directions. The bar is enormous and it had a vast selection of beers that any beer-lover will certainly enjoy. We were seated promptly in a cozy little corner near some wall-mounted knick knacks.

The seats were uncomfortable and my girlfriend's bum found itself falling to sleep on a number of occasions. It also took a very long time for our server to apparently become aware of our existence. Once she did, though, service was prompt. A note about the service: they are all older than you would expect, as was the clientle. I, 25, and my girlfriend, 23, were the youngest people in the room by at least a decade. The average age of the wait staff was probably in the late forties or fifties. Moreover, everyone working there seemed to be bored, or drugged. Not bad, just strange.

We got a three-cheese toastie which was the best grilled cheese I've ever had, and we both got corned beef boxties, which are potato pancaked cooked crepe-style and wrapped around corned beef and cabbage. Very good. The french fries were especially tasty. Some of the best I've had. None of the desserts were very impressive, considering the bakery downstairs, so we skipped and went there instead. The star of the show is the rustic charm of the food and the prices. You could easily go here on a budget. All in all, good place, just not a place I'd seek out unless I really was hankering for a boxty.

Pros: Very good prices, good selection, good food.
Cons: Strangely apathetic staff, uncomfortable seats, nothing really special.

Good place for friends... 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

Great Irish food. Great Irish booze. Jack and cokes were $8, so don't look to get wasted w/o dropping $100. Great time for friends or smaller groups (4-7). Service for drinks came often. Attractiveness of the 'lady kind' is a shot in the dark. Worse case scenario, go play the slots for a bit, and come back in. Overall, an up-and-coming hot spot. Go to the spot before it becomes old.

Pros: Great music, great atmosphere.
Cons: Drinks are a bit pricey.
