I agree with Jennifer. John Minitello is the most unprofessional painter/handyman I have ever met. He didn't finish painting our house and we took him to court. He lost in court and owes us money. He didn't attempt to settle his judgement and his licence is suspended. Do not hire this man unless you want a bad job and bad service. The friends that referred us to him also haven't heard from him and they needed touch ups and paint. Currently he should not be working until he settles the claim. But in the long run he shouldn't be working because he doesn't know how to do the job. And he hires unprofessional people like himself and then doesn't pay them. They come knocking on your door and he plays the dumb game of he doesn't know what is going on. He will stand in front you door daily to be paid and he'll cash the check within minutes and won't finish the job. This is a dead end stree with him and I"m glad Jennifer figured it out as well. Tell your friends.

John did a great job refinishing our patio cover. He had great ideas, such as adding shade material to the top of our open slats, adding sensor lights, and adding "boots" to the bottom of our posts to hide the hardware. We were happy with the results for a while. He even said we could call in a few months after the rainy season, to fix any peeling/damage caused by rain. We called him in 6 months, and by the time he responded it was about 9 months after he had painted. By this time, there was significant damage, all cosmetic, and mostly on the "boots." When we had finally gotten a hold of him, he would only fix our patio cover if we let him paint our house. I'm sorry, but why would we let him paint our house when THIS happened to a simple patio cover? We just let it be and will call someone else when the patio cover gets too bad. He did a good job, but he was unprofessional when it came down to fixing a problem he told us he'd fix. He should have fixed the patio cover before he started asking to paint our house. What would happen if we let him paint our house and we had peeling in 3 months? Would he ONLY fix the outside if we pay him to paint the inside?
