We hired Craig to remove the popcorn ceiling, paint all the interior walls and the trims. We had interview 6 companies and Neely Paint was high on our preference list in terms of price and how we felt about him. We had heard a lot about how painters are notorious, and it turned out that the painters we first decided to hire didn't show up as scheduled! We called Craig and asked if he can do it. Craig came the next day and explained that they would try their best to get the job done by the date we requested, though they had another job site at the same time. Craig and his men did things in a timely manner; in the end, they were able to complete the job by the time we requested. Craig is easy to communicate with. My husband and I pointed out several things that we didn't like at our final walk-through, and Craig was quick to correct them or at least explained why one could not expect better. The price was very competitive. The bids from other companies are as high as $2000 more. Craig also offered to come back for touch ups. In fact, he already showed up once this Tuesday, but he promised to come again to fix some other places.
One thing we thought Neely Paint can improve on, however, is to clean the house more thoroughly. To say they didn't clean the place at all is not fair, but I had to wipe most windows and cabinets for some residues of the popcorn texture and dust.
