Scott Zashin MD Top Clinician

by C C.

Dr. Zashin is a brilliant clinician who was able to tease out a diagnosis that is rare in the South. Numerous competent specialists had been unable to diagnose my disease over several years. So, I was headed to The Mayo Clinic in Rochester. I suspected that my problem was cold mediated and Minnesota doctors should be cold experts. Knowing Dr. Zashin, my wife suggested I see him first. After conducting a thorough initial exam, Zashin trotted in with medical books and color printouts that supported his working diagnosis. He recommended follow-up with another specialist to confirm the diagnosis. Not only was Zashin spot on, so was my wifes suggestion.

The Best

by Aline C.

I have known Dr. Zashin for over ten years, and have sent many aching, unhappy friends to him for relief of their arthritis symptoms. They, too, sing his praises. The only down thing is the insurance crisis, but his office went out of their way to provide me the correct info for my medical company. Most efficient office I have ever been in-absolutely would recommend his services to anyone.

Good specialist, efficient office, and overall care

by jhowe201

Dr. Zashin is not on my insurance either, but it's hard to turn away an excellent doctor. His office is efficient and generally caring. My first visit was detailed, compassionate, and on-target. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, which is difficult to treat so discouraging. However, Dr. Zashin is persistent and instills hope. Dr. Zashin is the kind of doctor who actually remembers his patients and will call them personally if he has thought of a new way to attack a problem. He stays completely educated with regard to the illnesses he treats. I do wish Dr. Zashin could take a few more minutes in a follow up visit to help me to really understand the full nature of the illness, what test results mean, and what to expect long term. However, he is the best doctor I have ever seen . . . and unfortunately, there have been many.

Pros: Validates parking :-), great diagnostician, doesn't dismiss your own knowledge about your body

Cons: it's fantastic that he's not condescending, but remembering that chronic illness can be overwhelming he might explain better

Although Dr. Zashin was not on my insurance plan, I felt the personal attention and thoroughness of his evaluation was worth the extra cost. My visit was scheduled quickly and there was no waiting when it came my appointment time. Dr. Zashin called me personally with my results and explained things so I was able to understand them. I look forward to visiting the office again to follow up on my arthritis.

Pros: personal attention, caring office, ran on schedule

Cons: not on my insurance
