SPS insulation experience was not good. They fell through our ceiling twice. They did not spec out over 20 lights and then wanted to charge $50 a box to cover the lights for the insulation. The job was double the time causing a great deal of inconvenience to our house and family. They left the job with a large portion of the contracted work NOT finished. This was confirmed by an auditor to check the validity of the job. The experience was anything but professional. I would be very cautious and not hire this company. They are not worth the money or time.

Business Response:

End result: We did improve this client's home by reducing air leakage by 30 %. This was a challenging project for a few reasons. Our newest team member cracked the ceiling on the first day and second day. The homeowners were very gracious, Brian at SPS immediately fixed the damage the same day and repainted the next day. This project began August 8th... The attic was over 140 degrees each day was very difficult to move in, since the roof height was low and the rafters were hidden by the original fiberglass insulation and large piles of old cedar roof debris we were removing. Years ago an electrician added 20 lights in the kitchen (the wrong type for an insulated ceiling), they were poorly installed and completely buried with insulation long before we arrived, not IC rated. I offered to either exclude that part of the job or to cover their existing lights with a custom box for each one. They wanted SPS to work for 2 extra days for free to fix their existing unrelated problem. This portion of the review is rather misleading. Kim was anxious to have us finish the project and in the rush, we missed a 2ft x 6 ft spot under some attic floor boards, came back and finished up the next available date. SPS apologized and made it right, Kim S. got a 30% reduction in the energy bill and a quieter more comfortable home. The independent auditor said we should have charged more for the job.

We had SPS come out to insulate our attic after our old insulation had fallen down. They were quick to respond, on time, very professional and did a fantastic job. We recently had a new A/C unit installed and the installer said our insulation job was the best he's ever seen! I would highly recommend SPS Insulation!
