5 Stars: I love Roy's (by Jennifer J.)

I have loved Roy's from the first time that I tried the restaurant in Hawaii and this one lived up to my expectations.

We had reservation and were seated when we walked in and we could see the kitchen from our table. Our waiter was nice and service was good. The food was excellent. I always get the butterfish and I was not disappointed. The chocolate souffle was outstanding as always.

2 Stars: Dissapointing Experience - - - 1st and Last (by DONALD S.)

My wife and I dine out frequently and are always eager to try new (to us) restaurants. Although the main course was adequate the service, cocktails and desssert were very much sub-par.

Firstly, My wife's Mai Tai was not very good and had to be sent back because of a sour taste. When it came time for dessert, we were anxious to try their highly touted chocalate souflee'. After approximately a 35 minute wait we were pressented their signature dessert. Yuk! This was absolutely the worst souflee' that we had ever had. It was like a soggy chocolate cup cake drippy with runny chocolate syrup.

This was our first, and definitely our last, trip to Roy's.

PROS: None.
CONS: Slow service - - - but worse desserts.

5 Stars: Very Classy (by Morgan E.)

I am writing a review everyone should read because Roy's on East Flamingo is the best in all categories. It is a high priced restaurant but well worth the money. They serve Americanized Hawaiian food. I am a bridal consultant who booked a reception here for my bride. They had wonderful comunnication between bothe the bride and I. The customer service with all the staff was the most outstanding I have ever seen. And the food was amazing. From the presentation to the taste. The service recieved was absolutely dynamic. The staff waited on our entire party of 50 people with no glitch. Everyone was very happy. As the guests for the reception left there last word to me were "This is an A++++ place to eat". Most of the guests are originally from Hawaii but live in California, they raved about how it immediaely took them back to Hawaii.
