Love Wicker Park especially their Sunday Funday Brunch special! Their accommodating to all and its a random, fun place to watch football. The bartenders are great and I've gotten to know a few of them through time. Would definitely

Wicker Park has the best bloody mary's I have ever tasted! The salt/pepper rim is the best part and it sure is a generous size. My favorite time to come here is whenever the weather is nice enough to sit outside and people watch. They also have great specials practically every night of the week. My friends and I just started going at night on Weekends for open bar specials and the DJ plays great music!

I dont know how I've missed this place in the past; I had a great time about 2 weeks ago. I went for a late dinner and few drinks. The skirt steak was just right and the bartender was smoking, who could ask for more. The place really got going about 11pm and didnt stop to about 3am; that few drinks turned into a few more then expected.

Nice neighborhood bar for a bite to eat or to meet friends for a drink.
The wait staff is friendly and the place is extremely comfortable.
I would recommend it.

When I went, the bartender was serving a group of men that seemed to be his friends, and a few of them (including the bartender) were very rude. They were confrontational and insulting. The bar didn't have a good vibe, and honestly the group there seemed kind of threatening. I would not recommend this place for anyone - there are plenty of other great bars within a block of Wicker Park.

Wicker Park is the perfect place to stop by and grab a bite to eat or just relax. Charming bistro serving quality food choices. I've eaten there by myself on several occasions and felt very comfortable.

Great bar scene and food thats a little classier than your standard bar fare. Filet sliders are insane. Has a good balance of a good restaurant during the day and a fun(and yes, at times a little wild) bar scene at night. secret: can usually find groups of cute girls hanging out there on a week night for dinner/drinks...

I have been meaning to try Wicker Park for a while but always seemed to end up at favorites like Ship of Fools... when my friends and I finally did eat dinner at Wicker Park last week, we were pleased. The food is standard sportsbar food. I had the "Grilled Cheese Philly" ($10) and it did not disappoint, especially at that price. The bread that it came on was particularly good. I didn't really like the thin fries that came with it... I mean thin, like thinner than McDonald's fries. My friends had burgers, which they enjoyed, and one had the buffalo chicken salad, which looked and smelled great. He said it was delicious but by the time he finished it, said it was the heaviest salad he ever had... still very tasty though and I'll try it next time I'm at Wicker Park. The beer selection is pretty standard... nothing out of the ordinary and no special selections available. But at least the beer reasonably priced for the UES... no specials though when we were there so you're looking at $6 pints. Wicker Park also has about 7 or 8 flat screen TVs hung around the room showing sports. They are visible from all over the place so that was a nice perk. The service was fine -- no complaints -- but when we asked the waitress to switch ONE of the THREE TVs showing the USC game (which was a blowout) to the Oregon game (which we couldn't see since it was directly above our table), our request went unfulfilled. Also, we were sitting at a booth near the front, so everytime someone entered, the door remained open just a bit and the cold air forced us to eat wearing our coats. Word to the wise: sit in the back if it's cold outside! The decor is nice, nothing to write home about, but we did like the tiled floor, since it added a feeling of nostalgia. I'd head back to Wicker Park for a quick, cheap meal, but not for watching sports since the beer isn't particularly inexpensive.

I love this place. The staff is generally very friendly and the food is good. I love their pretzel bread, sliders and the cookie smash is absurdly good. The outdoor seating is great to meet for after work drinks and inside is generally a louder good time. I've been here on various nights of the week and its always fun. Great addition to the neighborhood.

This is a great place to read their newspaper and do the puzzles over lunch. The food's always good, the wait staff is always ready to help, they don't charge for seconds on soda, and they don't try to rush you out. Evenings are a little more crowded and the bar is noisy, but you can escape to one of the quieter tables outside with the same friendly service. I love this place.

Wicker Park's Sunday Funday was one of the best times my friends and I have had in a long time. Their drink specials were awesome. $2 bud/bud light during New York Games football and baseball. They had everygame on, it was a wonderful atmosphere, plenty of hot girls in their fav. team's jersies, and the food was wonderful also. The bartender was so hot and actually the night bartender was also. Really friendly staff and a good crowd. Hope other people take advantage of this great place, because I def. recommand Wicker Park for Sunday Funday.

Wicker Park is the ultimate upper east side watering hole. Always dudes in pastel dress shirts and cute preppy girls giggling with their friends. Defintly a local spot where the bartenders are chatting up the patrons and everyone knows your name. The weekend scene can be randomly pretty crazy - On a rare occasion a girl or two can be caught dancing on the bar. But usually its a good spot to meet and have a drink or two with your friends before hitting the town. The food is awesome for bar fare with a few more upscale items like their mussels and crabcakes. Wicker Park has definitly become a part of everyday life for the upper east side 20 something.

This place has great outside seating perfect for an after work drink and people watching. This place is on my walk from the train to my place and I always seem to stop for a drink. The food is better than expected and the bartender is a good guy.

I have been here so many times because my friend likes it and I must say its ridiculous. My husband and I were there there for a solid 4 hours and literally the bar tender did not give us ONE buyback- ALSO, I drink Kettle and Soda and the glasses are tiny and again, a rip off- Also, whats the deal with the tables? They wont let you sit, even though you will spend more on drinks than on food!

I have been to Wicker Park many times for food and drinks, and I have to say that the service is consistently really just bad. Last time I was there --they not only forgot our appetizer, but also charged us for something we never ordered. ALL of he wait staff appears to be really inexperienced and it shows. The food is OK at Wicker Park, it is not bad-its not great (good for a burger kind of place) --but they need to do something with the serivce (train the servers/hire more).

i must have missed out on all of this "good service".... went here from brunch recently - my server wreaked of alcohol! i'm assuming from the night before... or maybe a few hours before... in any case, he definitely wasn't looking so good... the food was ok, not as good as it should have been for the price.

Great bar with good food and a great crowd. The bartenders are friendly and there to have a good time. Waitstaff provides good service. Weekends a lot of fun. Nice additional to the UES group of bars.

Wicker park is a great place to grab a bite to eat and hang out with your friends. The bartenders are entertaining, to say the least...(esp. on mon/tue/sat) and the waitresses are very helpful. one of the only places i've been able to find Chimay, an amazing nutty beer and their filet mignon sliders are to DIE for!

I thought the place was great. clean new and much better than Martells. The sliders where excellent along with their spicy old Bay Fries. I was there on Wed night and the place was packed, so I had to wait at the bar where the Bartenders were hot!!!!

Whatever you do, do NOT eat here. Ever heard of "breaded steak"? Nope, me neither. I ordered the flash fried steak, which turned out to be about .3mm of steak and an inch of oily breading. With chopped tomatoes(?) It was inedible, and I am not a picky eater. Scraping the breadding off was a waste of time-the entire dish was one greasy hot mess. Apparantly this is a Chicago thing, as is Wicker Park-all I can say is, this New Yorker was grossed out. The staff was very friendly, but didn't seem too suprised that we barely touched our food. Another tipoff was how empty the restaurant part of the place was. It was a waste of time and money, and its not cheap...I ended up getting a great slice of NY pizza on 84th and Lex-thank golly for Mimi's or I would still be starving!

This is a recently opened UES Bar that doesn't really break much ground. There are about 4-5 flat screens located throughout (two by the bar) and a few tables to eat at. Prices are reasonable, $4.50 for Coors Light. The bartenders are friendly, but some aren't too bright. The bathrooms are in good shape. They have an internet jukebox, but it wasn't on the night that we were there, they were playing music from what seemed to be an XM station. It's a good place to stop in for a drink or two, but not a place to spend an entire evening.
