Overview – in business since 1968

We're happy to have the opportunity to have Service Magic customers become ours as well. I thank you for the opportunity and hope that you take the time to read a bit about us and what we do so that we may better serve you.
Since 1968 we have provided a full range of landscape services for thousands of customers throughout the area. We are proud to have earned the trust and confidence of our customers to such a degree that 95% of our business has always come from referrals.
Our services include custom design and installation of plantings both large and small. Whether you need screening, large trees, a complete makeover, a new bed, or just color we can help. All plantings are carefully chosen for your home and cultural conditions so they fit the space and will continue to do so as they mature. We always strive to keep your maintenance to an absolute minimum so as to maximize your enjoyment of your home. As an illustration of the pickiness of the overall selective process consider this: there are thousands of different perennials available from my wholesale nurseries, yet I only use a small fraction of them because those are the plants that require the least maintenance, are the hardiest, and give you the best and longest flowering characteristics. The same is true of all the nursery materials we select for your home. Another example is the choosing of flowering materials for a pool area: we use the flowers that draw the fewest insects and bees to the area.
We have installed tens of thousands of square feet of custom patios and walkways, and pool decks in E. P. Henry pavers, as well as thousands of square feet more in flagstone and other materials. All installations are done to the International Concrete Paver Institute standards ? we are certified by the ICPI.
We also install E .P. Henry pavers for driveways as well as Belgium block. Did you know that over the long-term pavers are less expensive than blacktop? That is because although the initial expense is more there is no sealing and top-coating ? ever. One driveway we did at Chester Valley Golf Club over eleven years ago has had over 250,000 cars and trucks drive on it and hundreds of thousands of pedestrians ? it still looks as if it was just installed.
We build retaining walls with lifetime warranted wood, E.P. Henry wall systems, natural stone and boulders. Grading and seeding or sodding as well as stream bank repair are available. We can also take care of your trees.
Perhaps the thing that customers find most annoying and aggravating is the scheduling of work. We stay with your job until completion. I post my entire schedule on my website! You know where and when you stand (and actually with whom, since I also post my whole customer list). You see us progressing to your time slot. You see when rain changes our schedule. Perhaps even more importantly, you see how we value our customer?s time. Again for emphasis: "We stay with your project until it is finished." We did over 120 projects last year so we work quickly and efficiently. A new front walkway typically takes us just 2-3 days to complete. We do most front foundation plantings including a complete revision of an existing one in just 1 day. The average patio is done in just a week. How? My foreman has twenty years experience and my crews are highly motivated.
