Working with one of our select licensed contractors, every aspect including small details are paid close attention to so that the entire project from concept to installation runs smoothly. We want unfolding your vision to be fun and exciting. And in the end we want your garden to be the place that you'd rather be!
Client Profile & Fees
Many clients bring us on board at the same time as commissioning an architect, either on new build or when extending an existing property. Others would just like a concept design and would build their garden in stages as their budget allows. While others have recently moved house, wish to maximise the use of their outside space, or create a facelift on an existing garden and retain us from concept to installation supervision.
We work in much the same way as a building architect. Our fee scale is based on a percentage of the contract costs and range from 5-22% depending on the size and complexity of the project. Front and back yard design generally averages around $1,500 for a simple garden.
When considering how much to spend, clients should treat the garden as a financial investment and budget for between 4-10% of the property value as a realistic investment figure. Bay area gardens, without much complexity, can average around $15 per square foot for materials and installation.
