I have never given any business a bad review but this company is beyond acceptable. I had Mike install a new furnace 5 years ago and I kept having the condensate water run all over my garage. He came out twice after I kept calling him and both times he was a jerk.
He stopped the water running into my garage by sending it right into the furnace. I of course assumed it was fixed. Now after 5 years my furnace has rusted thru and needs to be replaced. Dont ever use this guy or this business.

MJA came to give us a free estimate and we decided to go with MJA Mechanical because the sales tech explained the the way the system was going to work - no other company explained it this way and how much it was going to be. We had a heat pump installed 3 months ago and have been very happy with the cost and the sytem and the professional way it was installed. We have saved allot of money on our utilities and would recommend them to everyone.

MJA charged me for features that they didn't install, made it impossible to install a filter because they placed the return air duct in the wrong location and when I tried to work out a solution, stopped taking calls and responding to messages. To say that this company is shady doesn't begin to describe how dishonest and incompetent they really are. Avoid MJA Mechanical, if you don't, you'll regret it!

The owner of this company Mike Arnone is a greedy, dishonest, incompetent fool. I hired him to work on the furnace in one of my rental houses. My tenant was without heat. When Mr Arnone arrived, after a brief inspection he declared that the furnace needed to be replaced. My tenant called with this news and I told him that I would need to get a second opinion. Mr Arnone insisted that I owed him for a service call, I told him that he would be paid if the second contractor confirmed his diagnosis regardless of who did the replacement. A second contractor came by later that day and identified the problem. A burned out igniter. The furnace has been functioning flawlessly since then. As for Mr Arnone..... I told him to pack sand.

Using a flashlight and a screwdriver, the MJA mechanical service representative spent five minutes looking at our furnace before saying there were cracks in heat exchanger. \r

This is all he did. He used no other tools, nothing to test for the presence of carbon monoxide - nothing. A fast visual inspection and a quick payday.\r

Their representative did not clean the furnace, which is what we were paying for and what is stipulated in the sale agreement for our house. I asked him to clean the furnace - twice - and he refused, saying that the furnace needed to be replaced. The representative then collected payment and a signature and left.\r

At our own cost, we had a second company come out 3/27/2007. \r

Their representative cleaned and inspected the furnace, a process which took over an hour. \r

Their inspection report shows no recommendations. The furnace is fine.\r

On 3/27/2007 I called Mike at MJA Mechanical and gave him the above statements. Mike explained that if I canceled the check that they would take actions to claim payment for services rendered. I explained that services had not been rendered - that the furnace had not been cleaned, and that I expected someone to clean the furnace - and that is why the check had been canceled. Mike's counter-argument hinged on the legal fine print of the document his representative had required me to sign before leaving. \r

I then explained to Mike that I would file a formal complaint, and also send a second check. I explained that if he failed to produce a refund that I would mark their response as unsatisfactory, and that it would show on their permanent record as a dispute that was not satisfactorily resolved. Mike said that was my choice.
