I really can't say enough about this company. I had 3 local movers come to my home for estimates before choosing IMS. Mike Lohner was the owner of this particular business, and he personally came out to my home to consult and give me an estimate. He was a total pro. It was a no-brainer to choose them, in my opinion. I not only had them move me, but also had them pack. I moved from a 4500 sf home to a 6500 sf home, about 15 miles away. They did this in 4 days. 2 days to pack, and 2 days to move. A pro crew, both the packers and the movers. I have never had a good experience in the past with movers, and have to say that this company was stellar. I asked them if I could review them, because I was so very impressed. I don't believe I have ever done that with anyone in the past. I highly recommend them and I read some negative reviews from the past. I have no idea what those were about, because like I said, my experience was 100 percent positive. I must add - when they were completely finished, they asked me to do a walk through, to make sure I was completely satisfied. Two days later the new owners of my house let me know that we left all the boxes in the pantry. I called IMS and told them - I know the pantry door was closed and I did not open it when I did the walk through - I had completely neglected that. I called IMS and they say "no problem", and sent some guys out to the old house to pick up the 25 boxes and they delivered them to my new house that very same day. How great was that? No fingers pointed - no arguments as to whose fault it was that the boxes were left. Just a "no problem - we will get those to you right away". That's what you call GREAT service. Use these people. You will not be sorry.

I had a great experience with IMS with my move from Dallas to Houston.

Mike and his moving team arrived on time for my move and got started right away. I ordered the packing service and all my items were packaged carefully and quickly. Well worth the cost not to have to pack all my stuff myself.

The crew arrived at my new Houston address on time the next morning and got started right away. Everything was placed properly and quickly.

I was a little worried about some of my furniture and art, but everything made it in the same condition it left in. The only things that broken were the things that I packed myself and took with me in my personal vehicle - I thought they would be safer if I packed them and took them with me. My bad. I should've let the professionals do their job.

I would highly recommend IMS for any move and would use them again. They were well worth every penny!

We just completed a local move, the IMS team of movers were excellent. The arrived on time, had to move all of our furniture up a long drive as the truck could not be reversed down the driveway, no complaints, that's what needed to happen and they got on with it.
Every piece of furniture was shrink wrapped and coveed in movers blankets, as was the staircase, floors and doors. NO DAMAGE to anything. They even had no issues about moving heavy items from upstairs to the garage to enable us to give away to charity.

On arrival at the new house, same proceedure, covered all doors, floors, carpets, constructed all the beds, got a counch through a very tight fit into a room.

Bottom line, probably will not move agan but if we do, I know who we will call. Excellent, and good and professional guys as well.

We did a local move that included some of our belongings going to storage and some to an apartment while we built our house. The packers did a great job of wrapping and packing our delicate items. The movers at all phases to all places were professional, efficient, and careful. We had only two minor damage issues which were resolved very efficiently. With the amount of moves and amount of furniture, etc. to be moved, we were pleased with so little damage. We would use IMS again.

We moved locally (Dallas) and could not have been more pleased with IMS, Inc. The moving coordinator, Jeff, was the ultimate professional -- he clearly knew his business. The packing crew was friendly, professional, and very efficient. The movers were the "A-Team," working very hard to finish in 1/2 of the estimated time. This saved us almost $1k off the estimated price of the move. Those guys (and gal) were amazing...again, highly professional, helpful, and careful - not one damaged item. Summary: two thumbs up!!!!

Gross negligence and misrepresentation on behalf of IMS Relocation / Mayflower caused severe damage to the majority of our possessions, many of which were antiques and family heirlooms.

The YouTube video that outlines their relocation procedure was completely false. Instead of arriving at the final destination in the crates as promised, they were wedged and shoved into a minivan without care. As the shipment was unloaded, it became obvious that there was extensive damage due to their packing method of cramming everything into a much too small space. Some items that didn??t fit had been unpacked out of boxes and were loose in the van. I witnessed crew members taking flattened boxes out of the van and repacking them. The items were so badly awry that at one point a mover carried in a box of Christmas cards in one hand and a book in the other, shrugging and saying that they had been loose in the van.

Every item of our custom Peruvian mahogany and leather furniture was damaged. Arms were torn off chairs and leather was punctured. The items were completely covered in scratches and indentions. Many items were broken, including an inherited irreplaceable ancient Peruvian tome. Some of our boxes didn??t even make it to the final destination, including several boxes of books and a box containing kitchen items as well as inherited wedding china and antique teacups.

When the damage first became an issue, we were blown off and told to consult insurance. I explained repeatedly that what occurred was not your typical incidental damage and this case was due to negligence. This was a situated that needed to be addressed by the company. I had previously been assured that damage happened only on an extremely rare occasion and not to worry unless there was a natural disaster, war or sinking of the ship.

The excuse used as to why we were not contacted via phone regarding our shipment was because Eric Thompson did not have international phoning capabilities on his phone. It does not make sense to me that an international relocater would not be able to call internationally. When I was finally able to speak with Mike on the phone, he contacted me via a sketchy Skype connection that left us disconnected several times. The last time I spoke to him was a week ago via his Skype connection when he promised he would call back in ten minutes. I am still waiting for that call back. I do not understand why this company cannot make a business case for having a long distance phone plan.

Although Mike has stated that IMS Relocation / Mayflower is at fault for this situation, he and Eric continually shirk responsibility and point fingers at the company they contracted to complete the move, EuroUSA. I have never signed a contract with anyone other than IMS Relocation / Mayflower and do not understand why IMS Relocation / Mayflower representatives think that their choice in contractors is not their responsibility. The finger pointing is unprofessional and frustrating.

IMS Relocation / Mayflower customer service has now become non existent. They are no longer returning emails or phone calls from us. So far, we have submitted an 85 page damage report with 185 photos documenting 27 items. It took over a week of full time activity to document and compile this information. I??m really glad that I am currently not working and can spend the time documenting this disaster. With the document submitted, I am still spending a significantly large amount of time chasing a resolution and do not expect this to end soon. I can??t imagine that most people are able to follow through when this type of damage occurs.

I believe they are hoping we will go away. I don??t want them to be able to do to anyone else the heartbreaking and frustrating things they??ve done to us.

We recently moved to Denver from Dallas through IMS Relocation. First, we were given a wrong estimate by their agent and second, they delivered our stuff very late, almost a week after we loaded. There were no refunds for the big ticket items which we did not take with us. When asked, they did not communicate properly and we have not been refunded yet. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend them to anyone.
