I went to Zen Spa after finding it on CitySearch. I am very picky about trying out new therapists, but I am happy I went to Zen Spa!! I was greeted by Stevie (another therpaist) and he was very friendly. He gave me a bottle of water and offered me some chocolate :-)
My massage therapist, Regine, read over my intake form and we discussed my issues before she started working on me, and I thought that was very nice. ( She didn't act like some other massage therapists who just want the money and don't focus on the clients needs). I had my massage and she worked on all the knots I had, and she even suggested I try some things to ease my pain and tightness.
Regine used pressure, but for once I am not in pain the day after a massage and my body feels different! I was very pleased with Zen Soul Spa and I will be returning to try other treatments. I no longer have to travel to the city since I found this hidden gem in BROOKLYN!!
Pros: Friendly staff, reasonable
Cons: none

Regine is FAB-U-LOUS. I went into Zen Soul Spa - STRESSED! I came out of there RELAXED and REJUVENATED! Regine has a gift - she is very good with her hands. This is absolutely her calling. You will not regret it - TRY HER! She is great!
Pros: Relaxed Atmosphere

I LOVE ZEN SOUL SPA. The atmosphere was so tranquil and serene. I really enjoyed my massage therapist Steve. When I first got to my appointment he greeted me with a wonderfully big and comforting smile. He was attentive to all of my needs as well as insecurities. I walked in a walking knot, I left still drooling from relaxation. If anyone is looking for Manhattan professionalism, Brooklyn prices and skillful touch go to Zen Soul Spa.
Pros: everything
Cons: nothing

I LOVE the new and expanded space at Zen Soul Spa! I've had two ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC spa parties there and have always had such a terrific experience from beginning to end! The spa director took such great care of me and my friends, taking care of every detail and personal touch - all we had to do was show up. The spa was all ours for the entire time we were there, we chose our own music selection beforehand (they have everything!). We had wine, chocolates and light spa fare. The treatments were perfect and just what we needed - all the therapists are amazingly gifted! The space is so intimate and cozy that we felt like we were having an all-indulgent sleep-over with our plush robes and comfy over-sized slippers. All of us left there each time feeling refreshed and rejuvenated! I highly recommend this space for a birthday or girl's night out like I did with friends - you will love it too!
Pros: Great staff and terrific massages and foot scrubs

I stopped in a few days ago for a massage with Regine and my entire experience, from when I walked in the door until I left, was absolutely one-of-a-kind. I usually do not write reviews unless a service has been above and beyond exceptional, and, if you go to Zen Soul for a massage like I did (I should mention during an extremely stressful time), you will be doing yourself a serious favor. I've had a few massages in my time, but nothing like this. I always feel better after a massage, but after my time with Regine I felt like a new person. I have already recommended Zen Soul to friends and acquaintances and trust me, after one hour there, you will do the same.
Pros: miraculous massage
Cons: none

I received an "acussage" session from Regine and it was the BEST - she is definitely a magician! I was having a back spasm and had restricted mobility for about a week - at its worst I had difficulty putting on my coat. I went in to see Regine after hearing about her from a good friend and she quickly assessed my "pain pattern" as she called it and found the source of the pain. She then did acupuncture, placing needles in my legs, hands and painful areas of my back. I began to feel a difference almost immediately. After about 20 minutes she removed the needles and began to massage the rest of the pain away - before the acupuncture she could barely touch me. This was the best massage I ever had - every back muscle was tenderized and softened. She finished with some pain-relief cream and I walked out of there sore but feeling much better. The next day I woke up with NOOOOO pain! I couldn't believe it. Regine is the best massage therapist and acupuncturist, not to mention she is a magician!

Thank you Regine! After just THREE acupuncture sessions my nagging, chronic hip pain is gone! Before going to Regine for acupuncture I had been with this pain for a few years - I even tried acupuncture before with no noticeable difference, until I met and got treated by Regine. I feel like a normal person again and I am forever thankful and my hips thank you even more!

Regine is the real deal - LOVE the massage and acupuncture and LOVE Regine!!! She treats my anxiety with acupuncture and I haven't had a panic attack in several months as a result. Her massages are just divine and they put me in the zone - better than any other mood elevator you can think of! I highly recommend her - she's the absolute BEST and my favorite!

I am no stranger to massage, and years of experiences have given me a deep (pardon the pun) appreciation for people with special talent like Regine.
Regine's style is complete and all her own. True to her name, the woman's got soul and, better, unbelievable hands. I'm a person who stays "present" during a massage, breathing in as the masseuse approaches a tight muscle, releasing fully as he or she works through to release it. With Regine, left and right hand work in concert in both a specific and creative way. There's no way to describe it other than to say, it's as if she is taking you on a journey -- there's no saying "no." It's deeply muscular, deeply satisfying.
The last time I saw Regine, I was a cement block on legs. As she faced each immovable region it was as if she were telling my body -- kindly but definitively -- "Let IT go!" And so finally I did -- in a gush of tears. And when that burden was released, she moved on to release it in my traps, neck, deltoids, lower back, t-bands, you name it. That massage was potent medicine!
I've had massages that were boring, perfunctory, inept, annoying, disappointing, or just got the vibe that my masseuse was all ready to clock out for the night. Regine clearly loves what she does. She is generous in her spirit and her massage style. It is as if she's giving you everything she possibly can simply because you deserve it. And that's an art you cannot teach. She makes you feel like you're her favorite client ,which is funny because I know she's got plenty of clients. No matter how deep she works, you never feels like she's working. It's smooooooth. It's yummy. It's luxuriant. I have already bought my husband a gift of massage with Regine and have several friends in mind for the same. It's an easy gift to give because it's sure to please.

Massage therapy is, in my opinion, about a re-connection to the inner you. One's guide to this sanctum is the massage therapist. It is on this occasion, that Regine Rousseau took my contorted and painful frame to a place left at an intersection of real and imaginative. Seized by a moment and seated on the pavement my body called out . More than a practitioner of pain relief, her touch is evidence of a Divine invitation and proves that indeed, ?that which you are seeking, is also seeking you.?
Your hands are truly blessed---and your passion for the human spirit infectious. Thank you.
Pros: She is knowledgable about mind, body and soul
Cons: The Most High made only one of her

I have FINALLY found my massage therapist!! I moved to NY 2 years ago from LA and I've been looking for a therapist since. All my experiences had been mediocre to okay until a friend recommended I try Regine at yoga people two months ago. Well it was the best massage I had EVER had in my life and I've had plenty of massages! She is detailed, fluid and can work as deeply or as gently as you need her to. My low back is very sensitive and can not take too much pressure while my upper back is riddled in knots usually and can take very deep pressure - Regine seamlessly adjusts her pressure between the two areas and provides a wonderful experience. She is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the anatomy and care of the body and can confidently answer all my inquiries and address all my aches and pains. She is also very personable and she makes me feel like I am her only priority when I come for my regular sessions. I eagerly look forward to my bi-weekly visits with her - she is the absolute best and I highly recommend her!!
Pros: Best massage, knowledeable and clent-centered therapist, convenient location
Cons: Parking is difficult, take the train
