3 Stars: All night baby! (by saira1123)

24 hours who can beat that. After a long night grabbing a burger, fries, or breakfast it amazing. The food is good, but make sure you tell them to go easy on the mayo they tend to really slather it on. The fries are salted to perfection. The eggs are ok, they use american cheese and I'm not really a fan. The pies are good too. My room mate used to get them all the time and they are delicious.

3 Stars: Whats Going on with the CheeseCake? (by Debra W.)

Hello, I have been a lover of Nations cheesecake for years. But for the past couple years, the cheesecake just doesn't taste the same. It took me a minute to figure out why, but I finally realized that it's the lack of graham cracker crust. Nations has gotten skimpy with the graham cracker crust. I remember when the crust use to be thick and it really complimented all that thick cheese. Now there is too much cheese and not enough crust. The cheese weighs down on the thin crust and makes it wet looking and less enjoyable. So I stopped buying the cheesecake so often, and sometimes I throw it away because it just taste nasty without the thick graham crust. Please go back to the thick crust on the cheesecake. Thank you.

5 Stars: Nation's Hamburgers invented the "perfect" burger (by dewolfe)

My wife and I, we now live in Michigan, often sit and discuss the things we miss the most about living in the Bay area. Always at the top of our list is, Nations Burgers. We always went to the Pleasanton store.
Nations has by far the best hamburger anywhere in the country, in our opinions. The vegetables were always fresh and crisp, the meat properly cooked and moist with tons of flavor, and the right amount of mayo/miracle whip, to give the sandwich the best taste ever!
The frnech fries were always cooked to a light golden brown, crispy outside, soft and tasty inside.
And a wonderful selection of pies!
Something else that most don't think about...the soft drinks...
At a lot of restaurants, the ratio of syrup to carbonated water can make the soft drinks taste like anything but the brand selected. Nations quality control was/is such that what you get tatstes like it should.
My recommendation...if your visiting the Bay Area...find a Nations Restaurant for at least one of your meals, you won't ever forget it. If you live in the Bay Area...what can I say...I envy you! Go to Nations and tell them I said hello!!!

On a scale of one to ten...Nations is an eleven in our book!

4 Stars: Great burgers, pie, and fries (by gjagiello)

Really great hamburgers. Ask for less dressing, unless you like a 1/2 cup of mayo on your burger. They do grilled or raw onions on burgers, and I like each for different reasons. Solid steak fries, nothing fancy but very good. Pies are good and they have tons of flavors (why pies?) I have been to both the Daly City location as well as the Oakland version near Jack London square, and I love them both. As far as fast-food burgers go, I would put Nation's on the top of the stack.

5 Stars: Beats out Fuddruckers! (by dabigslippah)

It's the biggest, tastiest hamburger I've eaten. Great flavor overall; the onions really makes the burger taste so delicious! They've also got a great milkshake! However, if you ever visit LA then ya gotta try a Tommy burger drenched in their Chili con carne or a juicy Fatburger. Too bad we can't get any good burgers in New Jersey.

5 Stars: Nation's Rocks! (by bayarealocal)

Nation's is a bay area institution, period. I've taken out of town friends there on many occassions and they have always raved about how damn good the hambuger is there. The breakfast is equally as good, and although I've only had a bite from one of their pies, I can see why so many people are there ordering and picking them up. My brothers, friends, and I have been going to this place for over 10 years b/c it always delivers. It's #1 for a reason.

2 Stars: Not so cheap for the quality. (by tijuanera)

No way does Nation's deserve the top spot. The burgers are low quality, the american cheese they use is disgusting, its not that cheap, and fast food its not. Yes, its open 24hrs and when you're desperate its good but if you're sober you can tell this is not grade a beef. The pies however, are yummy, stick to dessert. But if you must eat at Nation's be suure to order your burger with grilled onions or you'll have half of a raw onion stacked on your burger.

5 Stars: Best Burger in Bay Area!!! (by sfrow123)

I recently saw on this site that users voted Nation's one of the best burgers in the Bay Area. As a burger afficianado, I had to check it out for myself. I had never heard of Nation's until I saw them on CS. I drove down there on a Saturday and had "The Original". It is as perfect a hamburger as I've ever had. Just a good old fashioned mouth watering burger. I'm glad I found this place. There's a reason they're voted the highest rated hamburger in the Bay Area.

4 Stars: great place for a late night bite (by wokman)

at night, nation's can be really crowded. they keep cranking out juicy greasy burgers until the wee hours of the morning. the milkshakes are really thick and yummy. the pies are always delish. but you'll probably need some luck if you're going to find a seat in the late hours though..

5 Stars: Fresh! Fresh! Fresh! (by Germanboy)

Delicious Hamburgers with lots of fresh produce. Two huge slabs of Onion, Three thick slices of tomato and whole leaf of lettuce, not the shredded junk other places serve. Nation's is big, they don't even carry a puny 1/4 pound hamburger. Definitely one of the finest hamburgers ever.
