I would recommend the service crew. Someone mentioned Cary, and he was great - quick, informative and professional. The install crew did an incomplete job: they left a freezer unplugged (which went unnoticed for four days!), left drywall all over one area, and left a box cover off. They did not properly time the inspection, so I have waste another day in order to get that done. I just think that an install crew should be as neat and tidy and professional as possible, and they weren't.

A big minus is the administrative staff. I had several unpleasant conversations - staff member put out by my questions instead of explaining why she wouldn't have the crew's schedule. And when I complained about the freezer and mentioned that I had to throw a few things out - no questions, no attempt at making it up to the customer. She said she would "mention it" to the crew. I don't care! I want my Ben and Jerry's ice cream! Front-of-house staff should be pleasant and professional, not rude, not curt.

Ratings_icons Happy Homeowner!!!!!

We have an older Colman furnace in our home that failed recently. Not knowing who to call for service, we asked a few friends of ours and got Brennans name as the company to call. I called and got same day service! Being that our furnace is older, the technician that came out did have to order a part and return. We got a phone call from Murphy the next day saying the part had arrived and they could be out later that afternoon!!!! The technician,Cary, was on time, fixed our furnace, and we had heat in time for the next round of cold weather. Overall great experience!!! Would reccomend Brennan Heating.

My husband stayed home the day of the install. He said the crew did a great job. We would recommend Brennan to anyone looking to change, service or add any heating or cooling system.

just wanted to say thanks for the professional service. Your technician did a good job of helping us choose the right products for our needs - the variable speed furnace for our home, and the two-stage furnace for the rental, not to mention a water heater, electric to gas conversion, and Napoleon gas fireplace.

Recently Brennan installed a two-stage furnace and an electronic air cleaner in my home. Your company was highly recommended to be by a previous customer. The three men I dealt with are a credit to your company. Any chance I get, I will recommend Brennan.

Brennan installed central air conditioning in our home a couple of years ago. They system itself functions fine - so no complaints there. What I didn't really appreciate is that they left things looking very unfinished. Black-colored foam-insulated pipes strapped outside the house, ripped up drywall inside the house. The $100 they promised me to make repairs turned into a $75 check. For the extra $25, I would have at least agreed that they kept their word, but they didn't. Next time, I'd choose someone else to do the work.

Ratings_icons Disappointment with New Heat Pump Installation

Anonymous

Two years ago this coming September, I purchased a new heat pump and furnace through Brennan Heating (recommended by our power company). Shortly after that, the system lost refrigerant and had to be repaired. The system is once again losing refrigerant and needs to be repaired again. After several failed attempts to locate the leak and re-charges, they have located two leaks and plan on repairing the system.

I've got my fingers crossed...

Very professional. They didn't complete the job on the first day, and charged our credit card before completing the job. However, when I called to complain they were very helpful and came within a few days to complete the job.

They gave a clear presentation of the options, and didn't try to sell us stuff we didn't need. I'd recommend them.

he worked on the proposal to replace my oil furnace with a new gas furnace. He was a pleasure to work with--extremely professional and efficient. Compared to the proposals that I received from other companies, it was by far the clearest and he patiently explained any parts that I did not understand.
When it came to physically replacing the furnace, again the Brennan representative was wonderful to work with. I was particularly impressed with how smoothly the process went and how clean the area was left after the furnace was replaced.

So far, everything appears to be good. Brennan was responsive with answers to our questions, and we accurate in their description of the installation process and the behavior of the system.

They were great. The furnace went out on Sunday and we had a new one installed by Wednesday after spending a couple of days getting estimates. The installers were efficient and knew what they were doing.

Rather than annoy me with several calls from people who could barely read/speak English (as did Sears), Darrin at Brennan called me directly and asked a few questions about my needs and expectations and recommended a different solution. Sears kept pestering me to re-sched an appointment when I said very clearly that I wished to cancel outright.

Ratings_icons Happy With Hardware and Installation, but...

DrR

Ben in sales was great. No pressure and pragmatic. They also threw in a duct cleaning. Brennan was able to install the very next day. Because of that we ended up getting a high level furnace from Brennan that works great. Install went smoothly on the day of and the techs were good installers and nice guys. The negatives? The city inspector came in later and found a gas junction fixture that was not included and a wall of insulation next to the furnace that they exposed that should have been sheet-metaled over. They first duct cleaning appt window was a no-show and Brennan also tried to charge us for the duct cleaning. However they made good on all of these corrections albeit after numerous calls to and runarounds from a sometimes curt telephone staff. Seem very disorganized in that respect. Again since all was made good I'm happy.

Pros: Next Day Furnace Install. Sales Staff Helpful/Knowledgable

Cons: Telephone Office Staff Disorganized/Sometimes Short

The install crew left a freezer unplugged. This went unnoticed for four days. Thank goodness my 1/4 steer was not damaged, but everything else has frost on it and will suffer in terms of flavor. This is a nuisance and should have been made up for by the company. Instead, the woman who took my call merely said she would "mention it" to the crew. Hardly satisfying to the customer.

They also neglected to time the inspection properly, so I have to waste another day.

You have to contact several different people in order to schedule things: one person for the service crew, one person to okay a job, one person to schedule install, another person to schedule inspection, who actually has to talk to someone else who has the actual book. I don't know if they need a better computer system and operating procedures. All I know is that it's irritating and the administrative staff is neither pleasant nor explanatory.

That being said, the individuals who come out to do the work are pleasant and they explain how everything works. They answer questions and are not condescending or short. They are professional - except for the aforementioned install crew that did what I would consider a somewhat incomplete job.

I have friends in various aspects of home repair for high-end homes and they talk about how you have to be so careful about cleanup. I guess we should all take a lesson from the wealthy and (a) follow crews around, and (b) pick through work with a fine-toothed comb and loudly complain when anything isn't perfect.

Pros: Service crew (Cary) is good

Cons: Administrative staff is curt

Ratings_icons Brennan Went Above and Beyond

dhhumphries

My wife and I just had our old oil furnaces replaced with gas furnaces.
We were thinking of having the work done by Brennan because I?d read and heard good things about your company from a variety of sources. An appraiser (Rodney) came out and meticulously went through the house, gave us options, and a reasonable bid. I was very impressed by his knowledge as well as his trustworthiness. He is an excellent representative for the firm.

The job started promptly on the date we were told it would start. The two gentleman who were primarily responsible for doing the main body of work, Scott and his trainee, Jerrod, were unfailingly polite, hardworking, and professional. The job proceded along like clockwork. The air-duct cleaners arrived at the appropriate time and they were quick, but thorough, and very efficient.
I don?t know how they did it so quickly, but, like everyone I?ve met from Brennan, they not only delivered -- they exceeded our expectations.

Scott and Jerrod have just left my home within the past 30 minutes. Before leaving, Scott demonstrated the furnaces in operation, walked me through the house showing me exactly what was done and patiently answered all of my questions. They left our house cleaner than they found it.

I called Brennan to have my furnace maintained. Tech said my furnace was broken(although it worked fine).. said he could fix it next week... or install a new furnace tomorrow! Explained how much he wasn't trying to sell me something,,. as he kept telling me I needed a new furnace. These people take advantage of consumer's lack of knowledge. Really spead on the fear tactic... I called PSE(the utility).. they charge nothing to come out and check your furnace.. call them first.

Ratings_icons Beware

heatlessinseattle

After 2 visits to fix an easily replicated issue with my furnace and over $250 dollars later the issue returned approx 2 months later. Was told they only warranty their parts and service for 30 days. I asked if there was any leeway with that and was told they wouldn't be able to tell if it's a new issue or not. I said I would be looking elsewhere for service then and was hung up on. Will be looking elsewhere for my needs - recommend you do the same.

Cons: Would not stand behind their work past 30 days, issue returned in 2 months - no leeway.
