Appleton Electric

We have been remodeling my dad's home on and off for about two years now and have a variety of electrical problems. Appleton made dealing with these problems easier than what the problems had required in the past.

I was prepared to replace my bathroom fans because of the funny noise they started to make. (I operated these 2 fans for almost 24/7 for 3.5 years.) Scott Appleton came in and suggested that we take a look at the fans and the fan motors. Once he saw them, he suggested that he should try cleaning them and see if that made a difference. He spent about 2 hours cleaning first one, then the other. The funny noise disappeared. While they may not be as quiet as they were 3 years ago, still, very quiet. When I hear a funny noise from the fans, Scott will be the first on the list to call! Integrity, honesty, and experience: great!

Excellent service -- came and replaced my 20 year old, odd-shaped fan SAME DAY for a great price. Was very nice and cleaned up after the work. I had been putting this off for almost a year, and I would have had the job done sooner if I had known he was available to make it so easy!

We picked Appleton because they bid a good amount to install a bathroom exhaust fan and we had received a bid of three times their amount from another electrician which seemed excessive. Appleton's final bill was almost double the original bid,and the fan had not been grounded. Be aware that their policy is to round up to the next hour and at a significant bit an hour that's a big impact. We settled somewhere below the final bill but now I understand the first extreme bid from the unselected company. The two electricians were very communicative and pleasant but next time I may use the other company since I would rather know the worst case scenario ahead of time.

I found Scott and his crew to be very responsive and helpful, as well as incredibly competent. They were charged with burying wiring that had been run outside the walls and ceilings of my Victorian. And they were able to do the job quickly and with a minimum of mess and holes to the walls and ceilings. Add to that their consistently positive attitude and laid-back style and it was an unbeatable combination. I would rehire them or recommend them without a moment's hesitation. A great experience and I'm very satisfied with the quality of the work. And the cost was both reasonable and kept within the budget agreed to.

Scott Appleton was very pleasant to work with in agreeing on a price (reasonable) and time to do the work. He misjudged the price of the fan but I suspected that his quoted price was a little low as had priced them myself some time ago. He informed my of the difference immediately and that was that. He return our initial call/request promptly and was here at the day and time he said he would be. He and his coworker were polite, friendly, and showed respect for my time and convenience. They were very efficient without making a mess during installation and left the work area as if they had never been there. I highly recommend Appleton Electric/Scott Appleton to all homeowners.
