I should have listened to the reviews of Midtown OBGYN. The front desk, billing dept, admin/support staff are rude, unorganized, and poorly trained. I felt like a part of a cattle call at each visit. They lost my information, were short upon entering the office, and each person I talked to gave me different 'history' of my time with them (which was ended after three, very disappointing visits)... many just flat out, incorrect. At my third appointment the gal had me scheduled for a 'confirmation ultra sound' and congratulated me on a first visit! They also never verified coverage through my insurance as promised and had me scheduled for a few items that would NOT have been covered. I waited online and was hung up on more times than I can count. It is unfortunate for the doctors there, as mine was pretty great. I did not, however, want to deal with added stress and unnecessary frustration due to incompetent, short, ill-mannered staff during such an amazing period in my life. Midtown should be a lot more aware of who they have representing them as their 'first impression'. I let my doctor know on our last visit the circumstances and why we were changing clinics. She hung her head, apologized, and told me they have been dealing with these complaints for quite some time. Even trying to get the status on my final bill and transfer of my file was a total fiasco. I hope they figure it out and find some individuals that know what 'customer service' is but until then, I will take my pregnancy, baby, and money elsewhere.

I have been going here for 15 years and it seems to be getting worse and worse. I put up with long waits and uncaring staff because I enjoy Dr. McCrann. But when you cannot get test results or prescription refills or even a return phone call, it's time to get a new MD. I also know of a woman who's suing one of the doctors for malpractice. I'm done with birthing babies so I think its time for a new MD. They are way too busy and the staff doesn't seem to care.

I signed in to get the fax number and saw a bad posting about Midtown. I have been a patient of Dr. Christee's for the last ten years, I love her and referred at least 15 people to her. Before finding Midtown I bounced around and was often upset by comments made about my extensive scars. So please take the posting below with a grain of salt and know if there is anything going on it's just growing pains from too many people like me referring out Midtown!

I think the doctor was very good, but the office was badly run. They were always running at least 20 minutes behind, but wouldn't tell you unless you asked. Calling the office resulted invariably in being put on hold for a long time or sent to a voicemail message. The nurses in the office did not seem to appreciate being bothered by questions. When I transferred to a different doctor's office, it took them forever to transfer my medical records. Overall, it did not seem like anyone there was interested in my individual experience/needs, but just in following the script for every OB patient.
