I've lived in Los Angeles and Chicago, I'm a total spa junkie, and I can say that 3 Graces Spa is the only day spa in Austin that is worth my repeat business.
Best of all are their employees. I have had several massages there and a facial and I have enjoyed all of my treatments. My therapists have been very attentive and crafted their treatments to my needs. I personally haven't felt sales pressure.
I love the owner, Samia. She is so pleasant and is always there to greet you with smile, she is very professional and you can tell she has been in the Spa business for 20+ years!

This was the worst spa experience I have ever had. I went for a photofacial. The owner did my treatment. The treatment room is in her office. She came in and out 4 times and then spent 10 minutes on my face talking incessantly the whole time. Then asked me to walk down a public hall with cream all over my face and wash my face in the bathroom. When I returned she dabbed on sunscreen as I stood in the doorway of her office. This place should be closed down. There are so many other spas in Austin to chose. Don't make the same mistake I did.

I had a Groupon for this salon. I found a separate deal for underarm service which was even less than the Groupon. My plan was to pay for underarm and then use the Groupon towards one of their more expensive laser services on my face.

I wanted to start with underarms since I had never done laser before and didn't want to risk anything happening to my face in case the laser service wasn't any good.

Thank goodness I didn't let these people touch my face. The first two appts were ok, the laser kind of burned which I was told was normal. No side effects afterwards. I had the tech Michelle. The following two appts were with the owner Sonja. Not good! She was a little phony and acted like she knew what she was doing but had to ask Michelle what laser setting she thought she should use. Sonja used too strong a setting and I was left with burning and itching underarms. I called and was told this was normal. It took almost a week for that discomfort to subside. I figured that I would give the salon one more chance so I went back a month later. This time I had Sonja again even though I requested Michelle and Sonja again used way too strong a setting and this time she burnt my underarm! 2 months later I still have scars.

The icing on the cake? At the end of the last session, Sonja told me I was done with underarms and that the hair was all gone. WRONG! My underarms look as if I've never had any laser treatment done. There is hair obviously growing and I still have to shave regularly. The laser treatment here is a HOAX.

They may be good at other services but do not use this salon for laser hair removal.

I already wrote to Groupon and they promptly refunded my $150.

Pros: nice atmosphere

Cons: laser doesn't work!

I love 3 graces. The atmosphere, people and prices are so wonderful. I go for foto facials and have had brilliant success. My skin has changed completely and I look around 28 years old now...(I just turned 41) Other spas and derm offices charge so much more for less results. I highly recommend 3 graces and am not sure where the unfavorable reviews have come from. My experience has been nothing but positive, and everything Samia has recommended for me has only increased my youthful appearance. Love the prices, love the people and mostly love the results.

Not sure who the person below me had for their massage but all the body treatments (massages and a few body wraps) were AWESOME. The staff are always really sweet and accommodating and they always have really great specials. LOVE this place.

I went to have some hair laser removal on my legs summer of 2008. The biggest mistake ever. It wasn't my first time to have my legs lasered, but it was my first time at 3 Graces, and absolutely the last. I started to get a funny feeling when the owner that lasers my legs said we didn't need to wear any glasses. She also said that my daughter would be fine too, and she was 2 at the time and in the room with us. Now for anyone that has ever lasered before the light from the laser can be very bright.

She started with my left leg and it quickly started to burn, which I am not used to. I had been to two other laser spas before, but I was only there to take advantage of a coupon in the mail. By the time she started on my right leg my left leg was burning so much she had to put a wet towel on my legs. I found this out later from the laser place that I usually went to that the type of laser she used is not appropriate for hair laser removal. Ten minutes after she was done I had long dark marks on my legs. She said that it was common, that you're supposed to burn the skin off for new skin to resurface. Well I had large black blisters about 10-15 of them on each leg for about 2 months, when they finally came of I had white marks (hyperpigmintaion) on my legs for the next 8 months (still have a few left that will probably never go away). I would never ever ever ever ever recommend anyone go there. The only reason I went there in the first place was because she sends out these coupons and it seemed like a good deal. Now to top it all off, the rate that they advertised was supposedly for one leg only.......now who in Austin does that!!!!

PS! As far as rating goes, 1 star is much to much.

Cons: Wrong type of equipment

I booked a hot stone massage and facial at the 3 Graces Spa. My facial was fine, but I requested a hot stone massage. Somehow, the front desk booked me for a prenatal massage - not even close. They didn't have anyone available for a hot stone but offered me a Swedish massage instead. If I wanted a Swedish massage, I would have booked one. I was very unhappy that they got the appointment wrong; I had been looking forward to it for a week. They are a disorganized salon.

I had a Spafinder gift certificate and had read good reviews of 3 Graces, so I called and booked a 1-hour hot stone massage. When I arrived, they seemed very disorganized at the front desk and a little unsure of what my appointment was for. The waiting room was small with just an uncomfortable sofa, and it was very very hot in there. I was offered coffee or tea to drink (Before a massage?) but I just asked for water. There seemed to be some confusion about who was going to do my massage and I was led back to the treatment room a few minutes after my appointment time. The treatment room was comfortably furnished, but it had large windows that faced Mo-Pac, so traffic noise could be heard, even over the music that was playing. I'm not sure if the massage therapist was new or just not trained on how to use the hot stones, but she apparently heated them too much and proclaimed them "too hot to use." She asked if it would be ok if she just did a Swedish massage instead of the hot stone massage. I was already undressed and on the table, so I agreed to the Swedish massage, but said that I was not going to pay for a hot stone massage if I was only getting a Swedish. She said that I wouldn't have to and proceeded with the massage. I've gotten hundreds of massages at everything from high-end spas to someones private home treatment room, and I have to say that this one was weird. There was a lot of stopping and starting, going back to places that had already been massaged, not even touching other places, several kicks to the legs of the massage table to rouse me from what ever relaxing state I managed to get in, and constant runs across the room to get more lotion. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I paid for a Swedish massage, and for the first time in my life, I didn't leave a tip for the massage therapist. The person at the front desk apologized for the "situation with the stones" and offered a discount on my next visit, but I will not be going back.

I came to 3 Graces for microdermabrasion as well as Prevelle filler for my lips. I was beyond impressed with the results of both procedures.

Margerite administered my microderm (something I've had done many times before at various spas). The results were the best I've ever had.

Michelle, the medical aesthetician, did an amazing job on my lip filler. I have had my lips done at APSI Skin Care many times before and gotten mediocre (sometimes lumpy, sometimes uneven) results. Not only is 3 Graces more affordable, they did a MUCH better job. SOOO glad I fould this place!!!

I wish there was a way to give a negative star rating!
I had an appointment scheduled for 2 pm, received a call stating they were overbooked and had rescheduled my appointment for 130. I called and told them I would be late for the earlier appointment, was told no problem they would make it work.
Upon my arrival the rude esthetician told me she could not see me because I was terribly late. She then decided to treat me anyway. The 30 minute appointment took all of 10 minutes, not exactly what I thought I was paying for. The esthetician was rude and obnoxious the entire time I was there, actually made me cry with her rude attitude and constant humillliation.
I went to the spa to relax and be pampered, I went to my car very upset.
I will never go back, there are too many Spa's in Austin to deal with this kind of treatment. I can't believe I actually paid good money to treated so badly!!!
Who does Michelle think she is?
If you want a good treatment and a good esthetician, go absolutely anywhere else!!!

I've had maybe 30 massages in my life, and this was definitely the best so far. This was my first time there, and Priscilla is an incredible masseuse. A friend came with me, Julie was her masseuse, and she said it was excellent. The rest of the experience was great: the space is beautiful, the guy at the entrance was nice, and they were generous with wine and baklavah before the service, and water afterwards. Even details like the massage oil - really high quality lotion that moisturized and wasn't greasy. I'm still tingling, and I'll definitely be back soon. Thanks!

I find it interesting that every time this spa has a negative review they respond by claiming that they never had appointments of that type when the reviewer was there and that they must be "confused with another spa". Hmm. Why not just admit mistakes??? The denial is childish and unprofessional, and hard to believe.
Anyway, I have been to 3 Graces a few times. After the second I decided that was the last time. I had a massage and eyelashes tinted. The massage was fine, I have no complaints about the masseuse, but I scheduled a 1/2 hr session and was instead given a 1 hour (yeah, I should have said something, but who can keep track of time during a massage?) then charged $120 for a pretty mediocre experience. My mistake.. The aesthetician that did my eyelashes was really rude. She left me alone with the dye on my eyelashes, then came back to check and asked me how I was. Of course, when I responded the dye got in my eyes and began to sting. She chastised me by saying, I told you not to talk! This is not the kind of experience you want when you go to a spa to relax and feel taken care of.
AND, the owner is pushy, condescending, and puts on a very un-genuine facade of niceness. Annoying and something I could do without in the future- there are lots of spas in Austin, I can find another!

I arrived to my appointment for a simple wax. They didn't even know what I was there for and they didn't have the right person there to perform the service. After two hours of the owner waxing my legs she left the room and told me the esthetician would come in to finish. I waited 10 minutes and was ready to up and leave not to mention steaming mad when the owner came back in and said the other person wasn't available but to please come back the next day. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? She was a name dropper ( I am not easily impressed) She acted more like a carpet salesperson from Egypt than a proffesional business owner.
P.S. I had to go home to finish waxing my legs that were only half done.

I used to be a consistent client at another popular day spa in Austin, but one day my coworkers were raving about 3 Graces Spa, so I decided to give it a shot. The treatment I picked was the cranberry sugar scrub, followed by a 60 minute deep tissue massage using the same flavor. I have never felt so pampered. The massage therapist I was with was excellent, and the wine at the end was the icing on the cake. Having had recent knee surgeries the previous year I am always hesitant about switching over to a new therapist, but she was very cautious about my delicate areas, but also knew exactly where to dig in. The facility is fresh and clean, and A LOT more relaxed than some other spas in Austin. 3 Graces semms to capture the friendly and relaxed atmosphere I was looking for. They definantly have me hooked. I have given my friends gift certificates and got them hooked as well. Massages at 3 Graces Spa are a healthy and satisfying addiction!

I've had some trouble spots deep in my back and have tried many different places. Nobody else listened and did there own thing, but the therapists at 3 Graces listened and worked out the hard-to-reach knots. The entire staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. I felt at home right away and I can't wait to go back!

I went to 3 graces for a chemical peel consult. I left being "consulted" on almost every procedure that they offer. I was insulted. Hold on to your wallet.

When I go to a spa I expect a calm atmosphere and a well informed staff. The space is cramped, supplies stacked everywhere and I felt like I was being passed around. What I got instead of informatuion on what I came in for was a sales pitch for more services. I have since been to another Spa, which I loved and told them about my experince at 3 graces and they said this isn't the first time they have heard complaints. I will never go back to 3 graces and am so happy I found a much better "true" medspa!!!

I have been to 3 Graces Spa, for 3 different services: photo facial, laser hair removal, and a massage. I was very satisfied with their services, staff, and the total ambiance, of 3 Graces Spa! I've never received the "total" package from other spas. All of the employees, were very careful, and considerate, towards my needs, and comfort! I walk out of there feeling great about myself!

Wow is the only word to describe my experience at 3 Graces Spa. It was my first time to have a massage by a professsional and I felt like I needed it. The moment you walk in it creates a feeling of calmness. I was treated very well by the staff, they were all friendly and everything looked so serene. I definately recommend any newbie or veteran to this spa. keep up the amazing work!! I will be back soon!!

My boyfriend and I went to 3 Graces to get a couples massage and the service was phenomenal!! We were so lost getting over there and the lady helped us so much, so was so sweet and even remembered our names. My boyfriend has had a back injury and they worked with him to get the best person available. They really worked all of our trouble spots. The people were so great and I wouldnt go anywhere else. And its definitely not pricey.

I took my mother as a birthday gift and it was the first spa treatment of any kind for the both of us. The staff was very professional and very personable. We got an opportunity to speak with the owner, Ms. Samia and she even gave us some personal beauty tips, (olive oil is a secret skin remedy). My massage was done by Patricia who worked wonders on my back. My mother's massage therapist was Michelle, my mother couldn't stop raving about her. The entire atmosphere is one of relaxation. I recommend 3 Graces whole-heartedly, it was a wonderful experience and I will be coming back for more. Hint: try the sampler it gives you a taste so you know which ones to come back for.

this is by far the best spa i have been to in austin! i went to 3 graces december of 2007 and recieved a day of services: deep tissue massage, a photo facial, hair removal on my legs and bikini area. as soon as i walked in was offered some snacks, water or wine, the service is so great and relaxing. my massage therapist, michele was the best. the massage was so good, she knew exactly where my back was hurting and needed massaging. after that i recieved my photo facial. i went in to get a photo facial because i have some acne scars and sun damage spots on my face and even after one treatment i have received so many compliments on how much better my skin looks. im hooked! also i cant wait to go back to finish my hair removal treatments on my legs and bikini. i already see spots where i have no more hair! this spa was the best thing that happened to me. also the prices are very reasonalbe and competitve, but with the service you get at 3 graces spa it is a steal. they also offer many other services such as many types of massages and facials, body wraps, botox, microdermabrasion, acupuncture, waxing, mani's and pedi's. and im sure there is more. i will be recommending everyone i know.

I have rosacea and had heard that photofacials would help tremendously. I am currently going through the treatments here at 3 Graces and people have told me they can already see a difference in my skin. Samia is so good, and quick! I really think I could get in and out on my lunch break and still have time to grab a bite!
Next I?m going to do the hair removal; my husband and I are already talking about it, I think he is as eager as I am! I love that they have all of these option here in 1 place.

I had heard from friends how wonderful 3 Graces was... massages, facials, peels... so I went in for the basics, a hot stone massage and basic facial, I was blown away to find out that they also do manicure and pedicure, and acupuncture! What a delite and a treasure to find somewhere that focuses on the person instead of on being aloof. Many of my friends and family will be recieving gift certificates from 3 Graces Spal this year! Even my husband... because they have special facials for them! Who knew!

I first heard of you through the Rollergirls that had an awesome pre-wedding party here. I had to go back. Everyone here was really nice and the services are affordable and great. I can't wait to tell everyone I know. You are getting quite popular 3 Graces! We will spread the word.

My experience at 3 graces spa was by far the best I have ever had. As soon as I walked in the door to the time when I left I felt so relaxed and pampered. The staff is so nice, they really made me feel like I was their only customer. Not only was the service great, but the facial I recieved was the best I have ever had. My skin is still feeling smooth and refreshed from it...a week later. I will definitly be back with some friends as well.

Having stumbled upon 3 Graces quite by accident on the internet yesterday, I was not sure what to expect. What I found was a place I will recommend to everyone I know.
Samia is the sweetest lady! And, the photofacial laser procedure I received was the best in town. I will no longer waste my time and energy at other medi-spa's.
I honestly cannot wait to go back to try everything else on the menu of services.
Thank you 3 Graces for giving Austin what we were clearing lacking thus far...a GREAT day spa!

I recently had my very first microdermabrasion treatment and a facial at 3 Graces. As soon as I walked in the spa, I was treated to luxury. The staff was very professional and friendly and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Before going in to my service I was treated to a glass of red wine and snacks. I was worried about the microdermabrasion being uncomfortable but found it very quick and completely painless. My skin felt and looked soft and brand new afterward. Combining the microdermabrasion and the all natural facial was a total treat! Thanks 3 Graces!

I recently had microdermabrasion and a facial at 3 Graces. Upon entering the spa, I was impressed with how inviting and relaxing it was. The staff was very professional but friendly and made me feel at ease. I'd never had microdermabrasion before but found it very quick and completely painless. My skin felt and looked soft and flawless afterward. The micro combined with the facial was a perfect pairing and my skin still looks great a week later. I will definitely get this again! Thanks!

My first ever spa trip. I've had lots of massages to alleviate back pain/tension headaches with a registered massage therapist at home in Canada and so I had high expectations!

On the phone the receptionist (I believe her name was Amanda) was extremely kind and helpful. She gave me an overview of the spa treatments and allowed me to even speak to a masseuse so I could choose the best option for me. There are a large variety of massages available along with your standard spa pampering.

They gave me great directions and the spa was easy to locate. Easily accessible right off of Mopac in a nice location and away from hectic downtown and the infamous I-35

Some basic paperwork on arrival, which I filled out after being offered water etc. and having my feet soaked in a peppermint soak. I then met the same masseuse I spoke to on the phone who explained to me in detail what my tissue massage would entail. I explained my back pain issues and she suggested the various forms of 'treatment' she was going to use and some ideas as to the cause. She was very nice and checked on me throughout the treatment to make sure I was comfortable and the pressure was right. It was very relaxing. Calming quiet friendly atmosphere and good soothing tunes.

I would definitely go back! This place is awesome and definitely met and exceeded my expectations.

I had a great experience at 3 graces spa. my husband bought me a little day of relaxation. I had a massage and facial done. they were both so great and relaxing. i was worried when i found of i was getting the massage done from a woman since in the past when i've gotten a massage by a woman it wasnt strong enough for me, but she was great, it was the best massage i recieved from a woman or man. i felt very taken care of. the atmosphere is so calming and the employees there are so nice and caring. i thanked my husband very much since i enjoyed it so much. they have many massages and facial to choose from. as i was there i saw that they also have permanent hair removal, acupunture and body treatments. i will definitly be looking into the hair removal for next time i go. also great prices for the services.

I went to 3 graces spa about 1 week ago. I was very happy with my experience. i left there feeling great. the staff is so welcoming and they took very good care of me. I've been to other spas in austin and many of them leave me feeling like im one in a million of their customers and they get me in there and out as fast as possible, but at 3 graces i felt like i was their top priority. they had free appetizers that were just delicious and a foot soaking that was a delightful surprise. I got microdermabraision done on my face and hair removal on my legs and bikini. the hair is already growing a lot less, and this was just the first service done...im so excited! I will be going back soon. I would definitly recommend this spa to anyone.

I am not a big spa person, but this place will have me coming back for a while. The service was great and the staff is friendly and cute. I have not felt so relaxed in a very long time. The massage was fantastic and professional. The whole atmosphere of the place just left me feeling better. I will definitely be going back.

Pros: Price, Staff, Service, Close parking

Cons: A bit far from my office

.

The place is very easy to get to and there are plenty of parking outside the building.. who needs all the downtown hassle, the noisy salons that feel like the zoo, or old buildings were you can hear everyone footsteps and the toilett flushing during your massage.
A spa is supposed to get you relaxed and renewed ... 3 Graces definitely does that and much more.. the interior is very quite , nicely decorated and very relaxing ... the staff and the owner are very friendly and very professional .. I have tried their deep tissue and the hot stone massages and they are fantastic .. They also have a sampler were you get to try a little bit of everything and I plan to give few of these this Xmas to some of my close friends that I would like to get closer to :)
They have all types of facial and laser services but I'm a massage kind of guy .. But no hair removal for me --thanks ... I feel great every time I go there ..Did I mention the yummy appetizers (Humus and BabaGanouch are my favorites), free wine, a warm bath to relax my feet , and best of all, all these extra perks are free of course .. Definitely, a highly recommended place.

This was the most amazing spa experience I have ever had. I felt like the spa was there just for me even though there were lots of other persons at the spa also getting services. The facial was the best I've ever had and made me so relaxed... it also incorporated a mini massage. The peppermint foot soak was a great way to start my service. The owner clearly loves this place and her staff. I've never been greeted by the owner of a spa and she seems to know everyones name and take a genuine interest in their lives. I came out of my facial wanting more... so I booked more right then!!

I took my teenage son to Martha to help with his blackheads and acne, and she did a great job. Not only was his skin much better after the session, she recommended some Obagi products that have helped keep the problem under control. She took the time to explain what was causing the problem and the importance of using the products to my son and myself when we asked. So, I'm not sure why b2cool seemed to have such a different experience, unless they didn't ask to have the procedure explained. For my money, 3 graces is the best value around!

My sweetie and I went to 3 Graces for a couples massage. It was DELIGHTFUL! The room was nicely decorated; the ladies were just as we requested --one with very strong hands for him, and one that was more gentle yet firm for me. The music, the candles, & even the lemon & cucumber flavored water was an additional nice touch to a surprise treat for him. Ladies if your man has never had a professional massage EXPOSE him to it! Mine had not and while on vacation I convinced him to try it~ Now he is HOOKED! I love treating him to something he has grown to enjoy so much and now I have a new place to do it-3 Graces!

I had been looking for a new place for massages, among other beauty treatments, and was absolutely impressed with this salon.
The massage was one of the best I've ever experienced. The atmosphere is very elegant but the staff is friendly---not snooty like those at other upscale spas. I can't wait to go back--- it's a fabulous place.

The place is well-named - the owner is the epitome of beauty, charm, and joy! You can tell by how the place feels when you walk in. I have had facials and laser hair removal there. Everyone that works there is licensed for their trade so I'm not sure what Ginger P is talking about (there are framed certifications in the treatment rooms). In other spas I have felt less comfortable, but there's no snootiness at 3 Graces - everyone is very warm and welcoming. It's got a good location for lunchtime pick-me-up. The spa offers a ton of different types of treatments. Nicely decorated, smells good, soothing music. When you go in you can lie back and receive the healing for whatever ails you - whether it's annoying hair or deeply stressed muscles!

3 Graces is an amazing experience from the time you walk in the door to the time you leave! They have a beautiful, warm and relaxing atmosphere and a wonderful, professional and friendly staff. The permanent hair removal works wonders... I've only had 1 treatment and most of my hair is gone. I can't wait to have my legs done at my next appointment. The facial was great and done with all natural products that smell heavenly. It is really the best new day spa in town. I am so excited to go again next week to have a massage. The owner Samia is the best! She only hires the best too. You have to go and experience it yourself. Prices are very affordable and treatments are available in a variety of time increments. They have a ton of treatments to choose from including accupuncture, botox, waxing, photo facials, and so much more. Book your appointment online - it's so convenient and easy.
