Locally owned, this little hideaway is a gem for the perfect romantic dinner, lunch w/clients, or a friend. Food is fabulous. Their weekday take-out is abundant, fresh, delicious & consistent.

Love this place! You can't beat their salads and flavor of food here. A great place to go for an intimate or small affair and I didn't have to fight traffic and drive all over the freakin' city! What a find for that quick fix of gournet food with a price that won't break your wallet. Try it.

It was wonderful. The soup, their special salad dressing and butter, the tender meat, and AMAZING hamburgers. But all in all the wine was my favorite. Ive been in there many times and each time i have found a new wine that makes me want to come back for more. The wait staff was very friendly. It gives off this homey vibe. Even my kids mac and cheese was off the wall and he is extremely picky.

What a delightful discovery! My husband and I enjoy trying new restaurants, but we are rarely as pleased as we were with Bee Cave Bistro. This is the type of place where you can comfortably tell your server what you don't want, then allow the chef to prepare anything else he/she thinks you would enjoy - and you will! If you enjoy excellent food and friendly service in a comfortable atmosphere, I highly recommend Bee Cave Bistro.

I was killing time on my lunch brake so I decided to venture into unknown territory and try something new. I decided to stop at Bee Cave Bistro and boy am I glad I did! The intimate settings are quite cozy and the service is great! I had the Sante Fe Croissant with turkey, swiss, and guacamole which was fantastic! The best part of my meal had to be by far the soup! I am not a soup person but surprisingly I could not restrain myself from finishing every drop of it. It was a creamy homemade chicken noodle soup with rigatoni pasta in it. I have not enjoyed a lunch so good in a very long time and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

Cons: so far away from the city

Yet another restaurant I never would have discovered had it not been for the Entertainment book. They have possibly the Best French Fries in America. Seriously, amazing fries I tell you. I ordered the Sweet Jalapeno Burger (1/2lb burger with sweet jalapenos, guacamole, tomato and onion) which was decent and extrememly filling. The fries you can have with or without seasoning. i opted for with and it was worth it. It's almost blasphemous to dip in ketchup. Seriously they are that good! Anyway, back to the burger, if you are stuffed up, this burger is sure to clear your sinuses. My nose wouldn't stop running and the burger wasn't even spicy, it was more sweet. Anyway, the overall rating is great place for lunch, they're fast and the food is worth the drive for the fries alone.

We just moved to the Bee Cave area and thought it would be nice to try this restaurant. We have had lunch and dinner there. It has great ambiance, great service/friendly staff, but the food is only okay. It is priced very high for the quality of fish and meat. The soups are the best thing there in my opinion.
That said, they have a very reasonable family take out meal that serves 4 and is a great alternative to fast food. It is very good for the price and my kids love it.
I would recommend it for lunch or the family take-out, but look elsewhere for dinner.

Pros: Family Take-Out Menu, Great ambiance, location is close to me

Cons: Price! Quality/taste doesn't compare with other places in same price range.

.

Good menu, friendly staff, nice wine selection. Not my favorite for brunch, but dine there fairly frequently for dinner.

Cons: Some dishes over-priced

I've visited Bee Cave Bistro several times and have always left happy. The menu changes frequently, so there's always something new to try. The wine list is extensive. Salads and desserts are always yummy, too. The owners are great about coming around to ask how your dinner is going. They're also pros at reccommending the right wine for your meal.

Save your money! Menu is the same and boring, The decor is tired and reminds me of the 1980's, the horrible photographs on the wall especially. Non consistent food portions and quality. Service? Am I in Europe? Slow and no personality. My wife and I would rather make the drive to town for good food. The prices! Wow! They are charging 5 star prices for 2 star food, and the portion is so small? As a native Texan all I can say is, stay away from the Bistro and make the drive into town! We tried this place over and over for years since they first opened but no improvements, we don't understand how they are in business? It will be a cold day in July before we ever go back to the "Bustro"...

I've been going to this place for a few years now and just love it. I don't normally write reviews but made myself do it for this place because I wanted to support them. The food is awesome, the menu changes, the staff is friendly, and the owners and family are always working there. The prices are very reasonable, and the lunch and brunch prices are a steal. The food is always interesting with a wide range of options. Highly recommended! My current favorite for dinner: Flavored iced tea (and some liquid sugar!), side salad with the honey balsamic vinegarette, garlic herb trout, scalloped potatoes, and that spread/butter that comes with the bread. ;)

Bee Cave Bistro is a small family owned restaurant that has all of the qualities of being a great neighborhood restaurant. The owners come around and find about how your experince is going and the attomsphere is warm and cozy. The menu seems to change regulary because I have been 5 times in about two months and the menu changed 3 times. I just wanted to say that it is a great restaurant and you should try it out.

And for our Valentine's Day dinner!! The price was $49 a piece on a fixed menu with two entree choices, a sea bass dish and a beef medallion dish. For the food, she gives the sea bass a "B-" and I give the beef an "A-". But looking at their regular menu online, which of course we were both deprived the pleasure of perusing and ordering from, one would be hard pressed to get anywhere close to $49. The thing we were happiest about was our wine, a Rodney Strong merlot - worth the $29 price tag. But as for everything else, no way. I understand the pressures on the bottom line when Valentine's Day falls on a Friday, but sea bass? - not a fish to break the bank. Furthermore, the meal format was not made clear when I made the reservation. Gouged, I say!!

I have eaten here numerous times with my family over two years and the food continues to improve thanks to owners who want to provide a great dining experience. The meat dishes are incredible, the pasta is good, and the vegetable sides and soups are always fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is nice with good lighting and interesting artwork. Always a good experience, especially when the chef makes his rounds!
