With new insurance I went to my annual check up. I have been going here since 2008, meeting with Robin ( who is wonderful). At the counter I found out that they didn't take my insurance, made no apologies for not taking it, and said they lost the contract with my provider. I gave them all of my information well ahead of time, but apparently no one bothered to verify that they were still going to take my insurance until I learned about this face to face at the counter while checking in. It was almost 2 weeks before I was able to talk to Sandy, the office manager, who was defensive about my jilted appointment, and made no apologies for their actions. When she returned my call, she remained silent at the other end, and I finally asked her for an explanation to the incident, and for her to talk to me!!!! She said they do not have the time to verify insurance plans, and that burden of responsibility falls on to the patient. I gave her a valid solution to remedy this, which was dismissed. Sandy was rude, defensive, arrogant, and belligerent. If she was smart, she would have defused the situation by apologizing for my inconvenience, and explaining why it happened in a sweet-good-customer-service-kind-of-way, right at the start. She could have offered to take my suggestions as food for thought, Instead her tone of voice was apathetic, and dismissive, and she interrupted me in mid sentence, so often, I never got a chance to finish my point. She was one of the rudest office managers ( people) that I met in quite a while. I will never go back to this office again. First rule of customer service is to hear out the customer, and find a solution or explanation that is logical. Char at the front counter was also rather indifferent and asked personal questions about my insurance in a public forum. I did not want to engage with a waiting room of others to hear. I am glad yelp is here to let others know to stay away from this bad experience. There many other better choices available!

My adult daughter and I both see Dr. Wilson and were referred to her by 3 other (unknown to one another) women in Scottsdale. The office is always very busy - because she is known to be so good. Dr. Wilson is an advocate of animals and, maybe to someone like me who is just a plain old generally concerned citizen, her overt concern for animals overflows from her private life into her office. A result of this is that she may appear a bit eccentric. But, we all keep reminders of our passions in our office - don't we? With that said, both my daughter and I feel that Dr. Wilson presents as a knowledgeable and capable doctor who is focused on women's health in her professional life - and we are comforted by this. Her large staff of doctors, nurses, and admin are entirely female. Incidentally, Dr. Wilson is stunningly physically beautiful which could also be a bit disconcerting to some people. The staff is overall quite friendly.

I have been going to Wilson for years now. I normally see Robin Parry. I like Robin very much. I am agreeing with all responses that this office and the people in it suck. Including Dr Wilson. Deffinitely rude, uncompassionate and almost feel like I am taking up their time. I had a consult for hysterectomy with Wilson. I was in complete utter shock at how cold and rude she was. After walking in to her office to have this consult nothing was said to my boyfriend and I. As she clicked away at her computer for 2 minutes she turned and asked "how can I help you"..... Well, I am her for a consult i replied. What questions do you have she asked! I was so taken aback that I didnt walk out with the questions I had answered. The preop woman who went over things that needed to be done the day before and where to go was completely cold and just down right not friendly. Not many people are friendly there. Honestly, the ONLY reason why I did this surgery through Dr Wilson is because of her reputation with laprascope surgery. Now that it is done i have had a few questions regarding some cramping and my pulse being strong at times in my neck. When I called about this their response to the pulse thing was "go to the emergency room"! I am disgusted and disappointed. As I type this I have just made a call and request for ONLY Robin to call me because I have some questions. I would not recommend this office. There are other qualified Docs and bedside manner is huge in my book!

The front office is ok there is one person who smiles! I love my Dr and that is the only reason I am there but if she was gone non way would i be there!!!

Dr. Wilson is a very gifted doctor! She literally saved my life and gave me back a normal life to live! She is extremely professional and is a leader in her field. Dr. Wilson teaches her specialty to doctors around the U.S. Her staff is very professional and all testing can be done on the premises.

In addition. Dr. Wilson runs 2 animal rescues, one for horses and other for dogs. She has testified in Washington against animal abuse and slaughter, and has saved hundreds of animals from euthanasia.

You can be 100% confident in getting the best care possible if you choose Dr. Wilson as your doctor.

I've seen Dr. Wilson several times and she's delivered one of my grandbabies. I'm sure she's a wonderful physician, however I would prefer to see Peggy any day, she truly cares about her patients and women's health. She is very compassionate! The office staff is the worst! Especially the office mgr. She acts like she is really put out to have to help you, and she hasn't changed for the 10 years that I've been going there. Dr. Wilson is very involved with her causes, but it would be nice if she had the same compassion for her handicapped patients. Her office is NOT accessible if you're disabled and I've had to ask her to move her own personal vehicle out of the handicap parking space at her office. She didn't move, need I say more. I'll keep going to Peggy because she's the best! Keep track of your own records and make sure that you call the office for your reports if you don't hear from them. I've received other patients report calls, so I'm sure they have received mine. The idea is ok to make calls, but be responsible in getting your own results.

Dr Deborah Wilson is the best in AZ. She is extremely knowledgeable and preforms top notch surgery. The lobby is always full so bring a book and plan for a little wait. You will not be disappointed.

There are 2 doctors here. The nicest Doctor at this office (Dr. Dereska) left in 2006. Dr. Simone filled her place and seems very good. I have had an occasional appt with Dr. Wilson, the head doctor, but did not care for her coldish personality. I hear that she is very good technically. I DO like the fact that this office is strictly GYNECOLOGY so the waiting room is not filled with pregnant women. The office is quite modern and comfortable. The ultrasound tech is very nice and it is VERY convenient to be able to have it done there rather than going to an outside place such as SMIL or Simonmed --- and they tell you the results right away rather than having to wait. They also email you the results if you want. The person who answers their phone is terrible - her name is Barbara - I don't know if she is still there but I would go to the office in person to make an appt rather than to call just to avoid having to speak with her. She talked like a robot, was very rude and always acted like I was bothering her. They do everything on the computer - so when you are talking to the nurse or the doctor, they are typing away on a keyboard. I felt this to be rather impersonal. You have to check that their records are correct - I found many mistakes.

Warning: Dr. Wilson, a vegetarian, is overboard on the save the animals theme. I enjoy animals but her whole website is about animals and there are animal type petitions in the office. Her car is plastered with bumper stickers having to do with - meat eaters have rotting meat in their intestines, etc. There is nothing wrong with her cause but she is fanatical about it - Don't mention to her that you eat meat - you just may get kicked out of the office! I doubt she lets her employees eat a hamburger in the office! But overall, I would recommend this office for gynecology problems.
