STRIPSTEAK

Very pleased with our meal at Stripsteak. Mom, dad, and I went here for our last night meal and were glad we did.

The waitress was very bubbly and cheerful with a good attitude and eager to please personality. The comp duck fat fries were a nice start, as well as the foccacia.

I was in the mood for pork chops, so I asked for those. Tender, thick and juicy cuts. Also they gladly replaced the sides (greens and grits) with mac and cheese and scallion potatoe cakes with creme fraische. Yum!!!

Mom and dad enjoyed their Prix Fixe menu Prime Rib with a few sides too. They got beignets for dessert too. They gave us caramel corn for the road, nice touch.

We were very pleased and will return again!

I come to Las Vegas every year for the sole purpose of fine dining so I consider myself an expert on cuisine. I have eaten at almost every good restaurant on the strip and I can say easily that I would pass on Strip Steak. I had a beet salad which was excellent but the steak (8 oz of Kobe beef) was very oridinary. I really didn't taste the flavor because all I tasted was truffle. The mac and cheese was very strong, the trio of potatoes was just ok and the duck fat fries were so so. We did not have bad meal but not a stellar one either. Delmonio's is sill my top pick for a steakhouse in Vegas and I stand by that.

My girlfriend and I had a great dining experience at StripSteak. Of course, we read the previous 11 reviews before dining and everything that was said in the reviews matched up. Here's a summary:

1. Very nice decor- Contemporary steakhouse motif with hard lines and earth tones. There's glass all around the restaurant, so seating isn't very 'private'.
2. We ordered the rib-eye- Nice and juicy steak. Duck fat fries are tasty, but over-rated.
3. Excellent service- Our server was fun, outgoing, engaging, and efficient.
4. Very expensive- Our bill was $200 and we felt like it should have been worth around $125.

If you have some extra cash to drop and are looking to impress, this might be the right place for you. But, if you are looking for great steak at a great value (like Morton's or Ruth's Chris), skip the StripSteak!

Pros: Rib eye steak was great. Service was phenomenal

Cons: Ambience wasn't as 'private' as a steakhouse should be. Value was missing. Duck fat fries were over-rated.

I came to Las Vegas wanting to eat one great meal during my stay. Stripsteak did not dissappoint. Everything from the greeters, waitstaff, decor, food- it was all spot on. Our meal started with complimentry trio of duck fat fries with dipping sauces. My boyfriend ordered their 3 course fall tasting menu for $59 which began with a seafood chowder with crab butter. He really enjoyed it. I started with the foie gras sliders. The foie gras was perfectly cooked and insanely delicous. For main courses, he had chicken with truffled mac and cheese and I had the 8oz American Kobe ribeye cap. His chicken was great, but we both felt the truffle was just too overpowering in the mac and cheese. My ribeye cap was the best steak I've ever had- rich, incrediably marbled, flavorful and tender. At $70, it's not a cheap cut, but wow, it was an experience. I love steak, but 8oz of wagyu ribeye cap was plenty! For desert I had mini donuts with a trio of sauces- salted carmel, bitter chocolate and carmel ice cream. The salted carmel sauce was really tasty.

I would eat at Stripsteak again in a heartbeat!

Pros: great cuts of kobe and american wagyu steak. Sides are delicous

For years, way before the tough times, I have been saying that Las Vegas restaurants are the best group in the world for food and decor. Often, though, even if we have good professional service, restaurants seem to be understaffed, which negatively impacts the overall experience.

This definitely was not the case with Michael Mina's Stripsteak. Our waiter, "Hammer," was superb, but so was the hostess, the bussers, the sommelier, and two managers. We had an elderly gentleman with us who had a bit of a noise problem. Without being asked, the staff immediately turned down the music. Furthermore, the manager even personally walked him to the restroom.

Now, let's talk food. I was with a party of four, who were all going to see the musical "Mama Mia" at Mandalay Bay. Our challenge was to have a deluxe yet "simple" meal, in 1.5 hours: a great steak for the host, vegetarian for the granddaughter, and fish or foul for the ladies. (As you already know, I will eat anything if it is delicious).

I don't know if "gourmet steak house" is an oxymoron, but that is exactly what Stripsteak is. Everybody knows that great steakhouses have great meat. But, surprisingly, vegetarians also do well at great steakhouses as they always tend to have great sides.

And the sides here are very special. We had delicious carrots that had a special orange flavor. The mac and cheese had a truffle sauce that worked perfectly, and the cauliflower with curry was fabulous. The whole fried chicken is great, but way too big for even a hungry person. If you have it, split it.

Do not confuse the Bibb lettuce wedge with a classic iceberg lettuce wedge. This is more like a chunky, fancy salad, with a delightful dressing that was a tangy avocado tarragon flavor: very good, but not the norm.

Overall, a great place I can honestly recommend.

Well, out of my group of friends I'm the only one that wasnt impressed with my filet mignon... Then again I consume a lof of steak. The sides were great, mac & cheese sooo good! The fries LOVE! It is deff very trendy, pretty people, not stuffy, service was on point! By I'm sorry Strip Steak I will stick to my regular at N9NE!

Best Steak and Side Dishes. First off when you are seated you are promptly brought these delicious duck fat french fries ( i know it sounds weird but trust me there great) with 3 different yummy sauces. Their steaks melts in your mouth. The side dishes are to die for especially the truffle mac and cheese.. This steakhouse is a must. If your going by cab they usually drop you off at the front enterance of the Mandalay Bay. Give yourself ten minutes to get to the restaraunt. You have to go via through the casino, unless there is a secret entrance I've never had the privilage of being dropped off at. Bon Appetit!!!

If you like food that melts in your mouth and gives you a post-orgasmic smile - go here. We were met by a pleasant hostess and were taken care of by a cheerful and very accommodating waitress.

The American Kobe Steak is amazing. It was my first time having it and it blew me away.

What more can I say, spend the $ and give it a shot. You won't regret it.

Pros: The meat! The sides! The service!! The meat!!!

Cons: I felt sad that I had to go back to my regular life

being a lover of prime dry age beef and always looking for a new place to try we went to michael mina's strip steak, i was looking forward to a oustanding prime rib , with there special way they poach in there own juice method of cooking it sounds a lot better in theory then reality! my prime rib was not well marbled and was not even tender!! it had a kind of rubbery texture(like a piece of boiled meat) on no rich flavor at all, the sides where average at best and of course the price was very high, i have no problem paying for quality but i really think this i just another new trendy place for young people who have no clue what prime beef is (it means lots of fat through out the meat!), service was good but the flavor and texture was just not there.

Staying at the Mandalay and elected to give SS a try. The lady and I are accustomed to fine dining and commensurate pricing but we were both a bit taken aback here. The Angus 10 oz fillet clocks in at $54, and that's at the low end of the beef options. It was a nice cut of beef, but frankly I prefer the petite fillet at BOA which is fifteen or twenty bucks cheaper. There are some $200 Kobe cuts so perhaps that's where real draw resides. I must say the side dishes were fairly spectacular as was the dessert (mini donuts). Service was above average and we were even comped the gourmet French fry appetizer with unique dipping sauces.

With the Angus fillets, three or four sides, dessert and a glass of wine each, the meal was around $375 with tip. If I had a do over, I'd opt for BOA and save $50 - $100 and enjoy a bottle of wine with my meal.

If you are a serious steak enthusiast , all about the beef with no accouterments and price is no object, Stripsteak may be for you.

Overall I enjoyed my experience at StripSteak. However for the price you pay I feel that the service and steak shoud be much better. I had the bone in ribeye, which was $51. Thats pretty expensive by steakhouse standards. Believe it or not that was one of the cheapest steaks on the menu. They had Kobe beef that ranged up to $200 per steak. Well anyway the steak was advesrtised as an 18oz steak. I sure didn't see it. Though the steak was on the larger side it was no 18oz. Also Ribeyes are usually the most flavorful steaks on steakhouse menus. Mine was tasty but not anything to write home about. Our server was efficient but lacked any warmth at all and really offered no assistance when we asked for recomendations. I must say that the side of truffle mac & cheese was to die for. Best side I have ever had. I would say try Stripsteak for yourself. Maybe I went on an off night. I will tell you that I did go to Mortons in LV and it was less expensive, better steak (I can't speak for the Kobe beef), and much friendlier service.

I can't say enough of about incredible my meal was here... Best ribeye steak of my life, and I consider myself to be a steak snob. Michael Mina is some kind of culinary god... Expensive, but very VERY worth it!

This restaurant is fantastic! The food is incredible. We ordered the tasting menu and wine pairing and every last bite was wonderful. If you aren't a steak lover try the organic chicken and don't miss the crab cakes with tobasco sauce. The wine was some of the best we had our entire week in Las Vegas and our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable and enhanced the very enjoyable experience. The ambience was great as well, the music and set-up added to the meal. If you are willing to spend the money the tasting menu is the way to go. If there is one restaurant you shouldn't miss it is Stripsteak

If you can get a reservation-, DON'T MISS THIS ONE!!!!!!!!

I really don't care about the help when I'm after beef; incidentally they are very good, it's the steak I?m after. These folks really do know how to work a cow. Our table had bone-in rib, rib cap, porterhouse and tenderloin. All that and a grand seafood platter, Caesar salad, roasted beet salad, scallion potato cakes, creamed spinach and rapine. Everything was just fantastic.

And these folks have only been open for five weeks.

Destin to be one of the GREAT ONES. I know I will be back.

Pros: I,ve eaten a lot of beef, this is as good as it gets.

Cons: Just a little overwhelmed at the public's response. We were an hour late being seated. Would love to see a selection of Bordouxs under $200.00.
