4 Stars: Good stuff (by lona c.)

I hesitate to call this a Mexican restaurant because it's so different from what you expect. The dishes are really high quality, fresh and light. I had the salmon and it was so good that I wouldn't share with anyone at the table.

4 Stars: Gourmet Mexican Food (by Joan K.)

The original Le Serenata de Giaribaldi in downtown Los Angeles is the most amazing restaurant -- unbelievable food -- this restaurant is run by the same family but it is more of a cafe than a restaurant and I miss some of the amazing dishes from the original -- but the food is still quite good here -- upscale mexican -- the owner has been written up in Bon Appetit and is considered a "genius in the kitchen"
