Matilda Jane Clothing

These clothes are adorable. Too bad they treat their customers like they are lucky to get anything. You have to go through a "trunk keeper". She is a stuck up boutique saleswoman. You have to order THE DAY of the release (there are 3 in the fall and 3 in the spring) otherwise the good stuff sells out. Even then there's no guarantee. You pay at approx $30-$50 for each item. Then add on $4 shipping to your Trunk Keeper (who may live in another town). Then you have to wait at least 2 weeks for them to process your order. When your TK receives it she may or may not contact you. And she may or may not drive your order or mail it to you. In my case I had to nag her to get my stuff. And if your order is messed up, you get to go through this entire process again. And they still treat you like you are lucky you got anything. So they have lost a customer. I may occasionally buy a piece used on ebay or there's a page on facebook for second hand items. I don't like dealing with the company. But the clothes are cute.

Horrible customer service!

Clothes are adorable, but the strap fell off on the first wear. Not very practicalmfor a $50+ dress. Was told told by their customer service that I should take it to a tailor. They refused to repair, replace, or refund.

Way to proud of their clothing. Customer service non-existent. Too bad because they missed out on tons of sales to me because of their poor customer service.

LOVE MJ! Just hit the art fair in Indiana! Love the funky dresses. I just found Crazy for Matilda Jane on Facebook. Great place to post pictures and resell your MJ. :)

I love the style and quality of Matilda Jane Clothing, however their customer service is horrendous. It is practically nonexistent. It begs the question "Are they adequately staffed?" After numerous unanswered emails and phone calls, I can't help but be displeased. It is a lesson that most of us learned as children, ignoring problems does not make them go away. Hopefully, the crew at Matilda Jane will improve their customer service and bring it to the same level as their clothes.

I am going to have to agree with lack of customer service this company offers - I placed an order with MJ almost 4 weeks ago and still have yet to receive a tracking number (they say they will arrive in 4-5 days after you receive tracking)- these were easter outfits and now they are not going to arrive in time to get Easter Cards out - let alone maybe not even for Easter. For the price you pay, you'd expect them arrive when the trunk keeper tells you they will. Guess i'll have to start looking for a new Easter dress - bummer because the clothes really are cute - I just don't want to order a summer dress in May and have it arrive in the winter! Order 8 weeks early and you should be ok (maybe)

These clothes are adorable, unique and so well made! I love that my little girl doesn't look like every other Gap-wearing girl in her classroom.

To the person complaining about returns -- I know it says there is a 15% restocking fee right on the order form. I've found their customer service to be great.

I would not recommend Matilda Jane. I had a bad experience. I purchased items at a trunk show and then changed my mind. I tried to contact Matilda Jane about cancelling my order, but 2 emails and 1 phone call message later, they finally called back. Then the next day my order arrived. To return anything, there is a 15% restocking fee, plus the amount you have to pay to ship. Buyer beware. They dismiss my frustration as jealousy over another photographer displaying at the trunk show, but it has nothing to do with that. It has everything to do with poor communication and lack of good customer service.

Matilda Jane clothing is the new kid on the block and it is fantabulous! Get that super cheeky outfit for your little and then get a skirt or ruffle pants for yourself. You cannot go wrong. Check out Denise and Matilda Jane Clothing at matildajaneclothing.com. Denise's designs are awesome.
