SoHo Wine & Martini Bar

I'm not sure why people mention 'upscale' when the only thing here that's upscale is the pricing. The backless bar seating is completely uncomfortable, the few sofas are always being used and the the art show is, well, nothing to write home about. It may be because this place is new but it lacks any atmosphere whatsoever (unlike Swig or Zinc, for example). I've been three times and it's been disappointing (and pricey) every time. If I'm going to drink $6 wells, I'll at least find somewhere with something going on.

We've been to SoHo on a few occasions and it has always been great. The music has been wonderful and the drinks are awesome. It is a great place to hang out with friends and spend an evening out.

I've frequented SoHo numerous times and there is always great music playing. Some weekends they even have live music. The artwork of Franco Mondini-Ruiz is always a visual feast. The drinks are consistently good and the service above par. They do have a very nice wine selection and a wine list is available. I'm not sure what the previous poster is talking about. I've traveled extensively and this bar is as nice (if not better) than most. SoHo definitely caters to an upscale clientele.

I was excited to try this because it's fairly new but it lacks any life whatsoever. There's no music so conversations just bounce off the walls and it doesn't seem very private. The drinks are very expensive and for a place that boasts wine, there's not even a wine list! Hopefully they'll get their act together but right now it's not a place I would hang out.
