Ok PeggyStanton...not sure what bar you went to? This is the best bar I have been to in my 28 years! I'm not an alcoholic but I've been known to throw a few cold ones back. It is the perfect place to take a date, hang out with friends,

This cozy =nook of downtown is nestled between the Watermark Hotel and Club Rive on Crockett street. The bar has a classy, laid-back, lounge feel to it and the staff are just as laid-back, but still provide the best in service. Lutfy, Ron,

SoHo is my favorite place to go out to in San Antonio! It has a classy, old-timey feel to it with a local flavor. It's set in an old bank building in the touristy Riverwalk area, yet the majority of its clientele are a pretty friendly

Cons: Bar snacks only

I've traveled to New York, Paris and London and this is nothing like the bars in those places. It would like to be, so it can justify the crazy prices ($6 wells in San Antonio!) but it has no class in the service, and for all the foo-foo

There's no service here at all and yet it must be the most expensive bar in the whole of San Antonio. $15 for a glass of zinfandel in a dirty glass served by a surly bartender isnt my idea of a good time. The decor is ok but there's no

Pros: Locations

Cons: Expensive, lousy service, smoky and dirty

I don't know if this place is going bankrupt but hardly any of the wines on the menu were available and the place is filthy. Everything I touched was sticky, dusty or dirty and even the glass wasn't cleaned properly. The bartender was slow and didn't know much about the wines. How they can charge $15 per glass is beyond me. Avoid.

I'm not sure why people mention 'upscale' when the only thing here that's upscale is the pricing. The backless bar seating is completely uncomfortable, the few sofas are always being used and the the art show is, well, nothing to write home about. It may be because this place is new but it lacks any atmosphere whatsoever (unlike Swig or Zinc, for example). I've been three times and it's been disappointing (and pricey) every time. If I'm going to drink $6 wells, I'll at least find somewhere with something going on.

We've been to SoHo on a few occasions and it has always been great. The music has been wonderful and the drinks are awesome. It is a great place to hang out with friends and spend an evening out.

I've frequented SoHo numerous times and there is always great music playing. Some weekends they even have live music. The artwork of Franco Mondini-Ruiz is always a visual feast. The drinks are consistently good and the service above par. They do have a very nice wine selection and a wine list is available. I'm not sure what the previous poster is talking about. I've traveled extensively and this bar is as nice (if not better) than most. SoHo definitely caters to an upscale clientele.

There was no wine list and all the wines are stored out of view in a vault, so I had to go with a mixed drink. Well liquors start at $6 which is steep for downtown. If you sit at the front in the sofas, nobody can see you and getting served is hard, so head for the bar. They don't play any music and the advertised weekend jazz wasn't there when I went.
