After pulling my hair out over finding reasonably priced learning aids for my grand kids, the 2 Good 2 Be 4 Gotten education boutique was the right place at the right time. My 5th grader and 5 year old have both benefited from the software as well as the supporting workbooks we purchased. The folks at the store took the time to hear what our learning challenges were and made excellent recommendations that are working.

If you believe in REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE and you are involved in children's education (your own children or as a teacher), then this is the place for you! This store is a haven for teachers, parents, kids and grandparents! I love everything about it from the design (it looks like an interior designer came in and decorated), the colors, the warmth, the comfort (couches and chairs throughout the store), and the prices (which are amazing especially during a sale). I even love that ALL the furniture and fixtures were bought used! You may think that because all the inventory is consignment (used/resale) and they furniture and fixtures are used, that it is going to be a junk shop, but it is NO junk shop. The inventory is QUALITY and the furniture has/gives character! Remember that this is not a garage sale or Goodwill, but the prices are more than fair.

As a parent who home-schools, I love all the choices that are there and they are organized to find easily. I have gone to the store many times since it opened in August and I can tell that they are putting in lots of time organizing the materials so they are easy for us to find. The inventory has increased dramatically as well. My son loves to read so the back room is where he heads. He loves to talk books and so do the owner and her daughter--so he is in heaven! The children's books run about 50% off so I feel like I can let him get as many books as he likes. My daughter loves the playroom most and I can't get her to leave without promising that we will come back.

Helpful Hints: 1. Make sure you sign up for their newsletter on-line (see their website) so you can take advantage of all the sales. They send notices of sales and give special deals just to their email list group. Sale prices take it from a GOOD deal to a GREAT deal! 2. There are free things throughout the store so make sure to look at prices. In one section, there are 2 boxes of free stuff which is perfect for the first year teacher. There are even books in those boxes that have been damaged (colored in or ripped or water damaged), but can still be used for something. I was told that you could take the pages out to put in frames for pictures. Great way to decorate for cheap!

So, in summary, I HIGHLY recommend 2 Good 2 Be 4 Gotten. They are a little tricky to find so bring their phone number and your cell phone. Directions and maps can be found on their website. Check their hours/days of operation before you go, too.
