sorry for the untimeliness of your adventure at the Whip In, however, as my staff
did indicate such an incident happened for you as detailed with the cell phone
clock, we are required by law to follow our time clocks in the store for TABC state
rules. alcoholic beverages cannot be sold after midnite on weekdaze, and 1am on
saturdaze. we cannot break the law for any individual, which jeapardizes our licence
and livelihood. my staff noticed that you yourself noticed the other establishments
across the street were also closed due to the past midnite hour. sorry if this gets
in you way but your tirade on ratebeer is low-style and if you do not remove it i
will ask my friends at citysearch to do so as it is not a site for your low grade
complaint.

you shouldve called me directly instead of posting on a public forum where such
writing is not tolerated.

The Whip In Parlour & Market

Do NOT believe the hours. The Whip In does NOT stay open until midnight as they advertise. I was just there at 11:54 p.m. last night. Two other cars full of potential customers pulled up as well who were not associated with me. All of us were ignored. I knocked on the glass doors and saw the employees inside look back at me. I pointed to the time on my cellphone. They looked back at me shrugged their shoulders and dismissed me.
If I were the owners of The Whip In, I would "dismiss" the employees who worked tonight. They obviously do not care about the business they work for. All they cared about was leaving work early. Because of that, the potential customers suffered. The business suffered because it missed out on sales. And the reputation of The Whip In suffers because it is now guilty of false advertising. What a shame. I have been a regular customer of The Whip In for years; but no more. I will support another local business from now on that hires employees with integrity; who will work the designated hours. And I will share this story with everyone I know and encourage them to do the same.

Whip In is my favorite after work stop. It has a HUGE beer selection (not like the grocery store) Im talking off the wall and hard to find stuff. Got to love that.
The prices are pretty good too.
