As a grandmother, I find that Usborne Books deliver everything they promise and then some. They are very readable, very colorful, and the touchy feely books are a joy for little ones.
My grandchildren love to hear stories and the littlest one, 2 1/2 years old, have his favorites. He can tell which book he wants from the bookcase just by the binding.
Now for the "then some:" As a grandmother I get to spend more quality time reading to my grandchildren. There is nothing like having one child on each side, reading the books. Then they start asking questions and expanding on the topic of the book. We have lively conversations, act like the animals we read about and make animal noises. We then move on to what animals do. We explore each book in turn, learning something about ourselves, about animals and about every topic the books cover. There is always a lot of laughter, a lot of activity and a lot of reading.
The kits are wonderful. They are complete in and of themselves. That is so important in world where "batteries" are always needed. The only thing that needs to be added to these kits is imagination.

I love usborne books. You have a party in your home and people order what books they want. There is no pressure to buy. The books sell themselves. I really enjoy reading the books to my kids.
