This is actually a 'review' of the reviews. I chose the 'world class' rating based on what I have heard (and read in this review) about this salon.

I was deciding whether or not to use Salon Grazie which is a salon in my neighborhood. I found the reviewers all (except for Wreckless, who claims her sister's beautiful hair was ruined and yet made and kept an appointment herself afterwards inspite ot that claim, which seems quite odd to me) have very high opinions of the salon and the stylists.

I espcially appreciated the review by the person who went to Newbury Street to impress her stuck up co-workers, only to realize how stupid it was to spend money to impress others who don't like us anyway (and by the way, they like you less when you look better than they do) and so found a better salon at a lower cost.

As for the 'screaming two-year old'; that mom might consider making a special appointment on Sunday, as it is my understanding they will open the salon for special appointments on Sundays.

Bottom line, I am going to begin going there for my hair cuts, stay tuned!

Salon Grazie is the best! Tina has been cutting my hair for 15+ years and I would never trust anyone else to cut my hair. Everyone there is great. I have done facials and waxing with Ana and nails with Ann. Everyone here is wonderful. The salon is beautifully decorated and makes you feel relaxed and at home. You'd be missing out if you did not give them a try!

I get my haircut every month there and it's a great place to go. If you decide to go there ask for Monica she does a great job. She is very happy and helpful. All the girls seem real nice there.

Why would you still be posting about a salon that you left over 2 months ago especially if you found a new salon that your son left smiling? HHHHHMMMMM???

My guess is the these postings are directly from Salon Grazie owners regarding the "screaming" child. They must be trying to justify their behavior as I am sure they did not like this particular posting in regard to their behavior and business.Who would? I think the owner could have handled this situation very differently with a more positive outcome for all. Although I do not recommend this Salon due to this particular incident, the hair dresser that cut our hair was the most amazing hairdresser I have come across. Patient, sweet and very talented. We are sorry to loose her. So if you do find yourself tempted to try this salon,(without your kids of course :) ask for Monica, she is the best of the best, you will get a haircut straight out of the glamour magazines! I am sorry if my toddler caused her any stress or alarm.

What makes L.T. think we want to hear her kid scream. How rude of her....cheers to the owner. When she wants to relax, I'm sure she doesnt want to hear a dog next to her barking non-stop.
Take your kid to Super Cuts.....

I agree that "LT" should take a 2 year old somewhere else to get his haircut if he is scared and screaming! That's why they have places just for kids. I come to a salon to relax as well as get my hair done and the last thing I want to pay for is the soundtrack of a screaming toddler! I'm there to get away from that! Have some respect for others. The fact that the owner asked her to leave makes me WANT to go to this salon.

In regards to poster LT...If you have a screaming, crying child it is only courteous for the mother of the child to ask to be rescheduled. Why would this mother want to be so inconsiderate to expect everyone else in the Salon to listen to her child. That mother needs to prepare her child for the appointment and not "rush in" and try to hold her child's head so a "cut" can be done. If I was the stylist I would not want to go anywhere near the child behaving like that for fear of accidentily hurting the child with the shears. This mother needs to take responsibility for her and her sons actions.

I have been going to this Salon since they first opened. My entire family of 5 went to this salon because we really liked one of the girls that cut our hair. Today I brought my 2 year old in, who had gone at least 6 times before. He is always frightened of the clippers and usually cries though his hair cut no matter how much I try to soothe and talk to him before we go. However, the owner was apparently there today and came over and asked us to leave. She actually stated that my 2 year old was most likely making one of her customers jump out of her skin. I guess her other client must be more important than my little guy. It is funny that the other customers in the place always have words of sympathy or similar stories to share about thier own children while I am there. Too bad the owner didn't share thier sentiments. So to all the Moms out there who understand how upsetting some things can be to toddlers I highly recommend you stay away from Salon Grazie with your children and you might be better off finding a better place for yourself. A place where the owners have a heart and are understanding. I then left and called Salon Sophia, they took me right in, gave my toddler candy, talked very sweetly, cut his hair & he left smiling!

This is the best salon that I have been too. I have been going here since they opened in Salem, NH. I have curly hair so at times it can be difficult to get a good cut! Not from Salon Grazie though! They worked with me and now my hair style is better than ever! At affordable prices too! They offer the most relaxing atmosphere that I have ever seen. The eyebrow waxing is the best I've ever had. They offer speedy walk in service as well! There is no pressure to buy the hair products, which impresses me too! I would not go anywhere else!

I dont know what "Wreckless" has been smoking but she couldnt be more wrong.
I've been a customer for quite a while and followed this group from another place when they decided to go for it on their own.
I couldnt be more happy with my cuts and waxes, very professional , helpful and great products.
A big hit for small time New Hampshire.

I'm a recent MBA and I work downtown in a cutthroat competitive environment. My co-workers scrutinize and comment on everything!Even though I went to a top ten school (we all did), I was still cattily referred to as the "hick from New Hampshire". In order help improve my "hick" image, I found a Newbury St. salon and started going there, dropping the name to my colleagues. I got knowing nods of approval and the "hick" comments died down. After a few months, I realized I was paying the salon more per month than I was paying for my car.( I majored in Finance.)

This fall I was complaining to my neighbor. She said I should try Salon Grazie. She was a customer and had known many of the stylists for years. Apparently most of them had worked together before. I made an appointment and got in just before our holiday party. When I got there, I didn't have any problem parking like I did on Newbury Street. The salon was beautifully decorated. It was incredibly spacious compared to my cramped Newbury Street salon. I told the stylist about the party. She made a couple of recommendations on cut and color and I agreed.

At the party, my "friends" at work asked if I had changed salons. I know that they asked where it was so they could go too. I lied and said that my stylist had been sick for my appointment and because of the holiday crush, the owner filled in. I apparently fooled them. (The new Jimmy Choo's didn't hurt my credibility).

Now I get Newbury Street style for NH prices. I'll be able to afford some more Jimmy Choo's. I'm going to try some of their other services soon. I can afford them with the money I save. The only difference between Newbury Street and Salon Grazie besides the PRICE, is wi-fi. I guess I can sacrifice multi-tasking for style and savings.

Nearly everything and everyone at Grazie should make the competition both jealous and nervous. As a long time customer of my stylist, I couldn't wait for the place to open. Her former location was dysfunctional at best. They did not replicate any mistakes of the past. They started with top notch, experienced, senior stylists, aestheticians, and nail technicians. They know that great people are the key to the success of any business. The service is commensurate with their skills. They complimented it with a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere that was thoughtfully designed and decorated. It's comfortable and informal. There are no anxiety producing drama queens and there is no high pressure to buy "product". (Admittedly pet peeves of mine.)

Most importantly, THEY VALUE RELATIONSHIPS. You're not a customer, you're a client. It's a big difference! I have a crazy schedule and they do backflips to accommodate me, with hardly a sigh. I probably should be a better tipper. There are a lot of salons out there. I'm not patient enough to go to some place that still has its training wheels on. They can practice on someone else, I prefer a pro.

At Grazie, they do a great job for me even though I give them very little raw material with which to work. I've travelled extensively and have been the victim of reluctant but required "on-the-road haircuts" at some of the most expensive and prestigious spas in the world. Frankenstein looked better. If they can do it for me at Grazie, believe me, they can do it for ANYBODY. If you want to look your best, why hesitate? At the competition, it's a crapshoot at best and amateur hour at worst. At Grazie, a great look is a done deal!

Respectfully,

Coffee w/K

I was new to the area and was unsure where to go until a woman I worked with recommended Salon Grazie. I was just amazed as to how clean and professional it was there!! All the girls were extremely helpful and I could really tell they knew what they were talking about! I felt completely comfortable there!! I have since recommened a bunch of my friends to go there and they loved it too! I thought that the prices would be to high because of the service and atmosphere provided, but they were actually VERY reasonable!! I would definetly recommend this salon to anyone that is looking for a new salon to go to.

All of the staff at this salon are great at what they do without the arrogance which you find in most salons in this area. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with really talented professionals. Why would you visit a salon again if you were ever unhappy with it or someone you knew had a bad experience? Not at Salon Grazie.

My sister has been through ongoing problems with her beautiful hair since it was ruined at this salon. Her hair was broken to the scalp and watching her with the "buzz" growing longer under that which did not break is heart breaking. Their resolution last left her, with me in the shop, under a dryer with conditioner for 50 minutes. She finally shut of the dryer herself and never returned. I'm going to Utube this.

She found a great salon in Windham, NH, Bien Soigne (not sure of the spelling) who did a clarifying treatment and a cut, asked her a ton of questions and sent her home with products she needed.

I decided to visit the Salon Grazie again and was dumbfounded by how unorganized they are, the cheap product they have, the lack of team and the horrible customer service at the desk in the front.

Think twice before heading here. There are so many salons that really click in that area.
