good mole  4 Star Rating - Very good

I went here for lunch and ordered the enchiladas with mole sauce.

The mole was REALLY good! The place itself isn't very fancy (in a strip mall), but the food makes up for it!

Parking is decent, since there are a number of businesses next door with ample parking.

I miss Elsi's 5 Star Rating - World class

I moved out of state a couple years ago and I still find myself missing Elsi's on a Saturday morning! Their chilequiles with verde sauce and a fried egg on top is one of my favorite dishes. The atmosphere is welcoming and the food is great.

Pros: food, staff
Cons: none

Pretty good, will definitely try again 4 Star Rating - Very good

We got the pupusas and a dish that was similar to chicken flautas. I wasn't totally wowed, but they were pretty tasty. We loved the black beans, very flavorful, unlike some places which are very bland. The service was very good, as were the margaritas. We will definitely give it another try; we really would like to try the breakfast.

Pros: black beans, margaritas, service

Best Central/South American Food 5 Star Rating - World class

Elsi's is a wonderful, down to earth restaurant, with excellent food, prices, and friendly staff. Everything I have ever tried here has been delicious and well worth the money. My favorite dish is the Pupusas, a specialty plate from El Salvador. I love it so much I have to go there when I am having a craving! Their traditional Latin food is just as great, and you must stop in for one of their wonderful breakfasts, which are quite popular. This has become one of my favorite affordable places to visit, with my family, or when I am needing some Mommy time out! Please give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Pros: Excellent food, service, and prices!
Cons: None.

Great selection, friendly staff 4 Star Rating - Very good

A great place for residents of Allandale. It used to be in a small house a few blocks south, but is now in what used to be an Academy. Everything is good here, except for the accoustics.
