My computer crashed and I could not get the machine to lad up. The only thing I cared about on my computer are the pictures and the itunes music that unlike most people, I actually pay for. I called Delval pc, and the they came to my home and found that my hard drive was bad. The hard drive was covered under warranty by Dell so I would not have to pay for the replacement. The problem was I had to send them the bad drive back when they send me a new one. I didnt want to lose my pictures or my music. The Delval tech told me they could attempt a data recovery before the bad drive would have to be sent back. Dell shipped me a new hard drive and a DELL tech was going to be at my office in 2 days. The only thing I could do was cross my fingers in hopes that the DelVal tech could get my data. The very next day, DelVal called me and told me they were able to recover my data . They dropped off my hard drive so i could send it to Dell . They also dropped off my Data on a USB flash drive. When the Dell guy came and installed the new hard drive and started the recovery cd. He took my bad drive with him to send to Dell. The recovery was done and I had to cross my fingers hoping the Data would transfer. The DelVal tech told me to open the flash drive after I put it in the slot and double click on restore me now shortcut. Well it was done in about 30 minutes or so and all my music and pictures were back where they belong. They even saved my favorites and documents. Needless to say, I didnt have to learn my lesson the hard way because I didnt lose anything , but I will start backing up my important stuff from now on.
