Dan just exudes honesty and warmth and is frank with you. He did my brake job for half the cost the dealer would have charged me and in 1/4 the time. I will definitely be taking my car back here for service. I'm really glad I found his shop. I feel like this is a mechanic I can stick with for life. I hope he never changes his ways.

Keep on doing what you are doing, Dan! I will refer customers to you and bring my Honda back for service to you time and time again. You know how to treat customers right and I like the fact that you are a family business. It is great to see you working with your wife and son. Wishing you the very best Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Yesterday I decided to give Dan's Auto a try -- taking my Accord there for the very first time. I even extended goodwill by treating Dan to coffee beforehand.

The check-engine light was on. Dan checked the code and it read, "PO401 EGR Insufficient flow." He suggested replacing the EGR valve, and at this point he didn't offer any other options and I didn't know better to explore.

Dan quoted me $160 for the part and $80 for labor. He replaced the valve, the light was reset, he got paid $253, and I drove off. Less than 15 miles later, the check-engine light came back on!

I took the car back to Dan's the same afternoon. He checked the code, and it's the same PO401. He apologized but insisted that there was nothing else he could do except to clean the other valves and manifold. He refused to do anything more without an additional $130 labor.

I asked him why he didn't first offer the $130 cleaning before replacing the valve for $253. He argued that he wouldn't know. How could he not know?

So, I am out $253, but the car has the same problem as before and the engine light came back. Dan wouldn't take any responsibility for the work he suggested, or for his diagnosis. This shows that Dan values getting paid once more than taking care of an issue or the customer.

I later took the car to another mechanic. This second mechanic said if Dan was going by the Honda manual, replacing the EGR valve would NOT be the first thing to test. The second mechanic quoted me $80 to do the same cleaning.

It is about how you are being treated by the people you hire. This first visit to Dan's is also my last. Be careful; there is a dark side to Dan's Auto. You could be the next victim there.

Not Happy Too Bad that this guy Chang When out this way but what can i say now he was told what would happen and he wanted to take a chanses on this, so he Declined for further repairs at that time, do not want to Pay, i cant Worked For Free Anyways hes just one of those guys, too Bad for me on this comments P/S the other Shop just had to finish THe Cleaning so yeah he was Good I guess !ohh Well!

They guy was pretty straight up and he did the work on time and without issue. He's had several years of experience and training working at Honda dealers, and he clearly knows how to fix them properly. A nice change from my usual experience with mechanics and imports. Overall Recommended A++
