There is more than produce here, but it is the main attraction. Great prices, but you have to shop wisely because with the huge volume they have, some things are spoiled a bit quicker. They have a great bakery too, and other grocery items. I prefer the bakery and produce, and other sale items.

The Fruits/Vegetables are normally a great value for the price. Good selection, and friendly helpful staff.
One huge drawback to shopping at Sal's is the FISHY SMELL in the entire store. 'The Fish Market' is located right across from the produce, and I have actually still smelled the fish on the bananas and grapes after I bring them home. The staff at the deli, 'Bari Deli' is very nice, and the prices are reasonable - but my cold cuts all go bad after 2 or 3 days (I can normally use my deli meats for 5 or 6 days from the major supermarkets)
The best thing about going to Sal's is shopping at the Meat Market
'Casanova Meats'. The prices are good, the meat has always been fresh, and good quality. Much better than any supermarket's meat I have found.
