I've been frequenting this shop since mid-2007 and ALWAYS find something. Kris and Nate are charming and David is absolutely fabulous! I see him the most, which is about every other week or so. I usually stop by before closing on my way home from work. There is always something new to look at or try on and conversation with David is always a pleasure! If you remember the great secondhand stores on Melrose in the 80's, before Aardvarks or Out of the Closet, then Secondhand Jazz is the place for you! Enjoy!!

I went here on your recommendations, and I was not disappointed. In thirty minutes I managed to purchase three pairs of awesome, one-of-a-kind shoes for under $60. Not to mention that the owner gave me a dress for free because the zipper was tricky. There was a Dolce Gabana white jacket that was $1,600 retail and they were selling it for only $120 even though it was only worn twice and still had the tag on!! Seriously, there is designer stuff here -- nice designer stuff, not matronly at all.

I think the coolest thing about the shop though, is the little boy Nate. He is a boy-genius and is the most helpful retail person I've ever met, even though he's only 11. I would go back there just to chat with him and see him talk about designers as if he's on Project Runway. OK long story short, this place rocks and it's my new one-stop-shop for clothing.

AMAZING!!!! This store is fantastic. I've been going in regularly for the past couple of months and have fallen in love with the clothes and the people. I can always find something - whether it's a funky vintage piece that I have to have (and never thought I'd find) or a simple, everyday staple (which I never knew I needed until I saw it) - this store has it! I've become accustomed to seeing Kris (the owner) and her son, Nate (the other owner) - they are two of the nicest and most helpful people I've ever met. I have to confess, even if the clothes weren't fabulous (and again, I promise you they are), I would go there just to be in their company! And David, who I just met for the first time recently, is certainly no exception! Thanks to all of them for bringing us this fantastic store!

I have watched this store transform over the last couple of months and really think it is great! DAVID (I don't know if he is the owner or employee) is just incredible. He knows exactly what works together and where to locate it. I plan on stopping by frequently and would recommend this shop to anyone who enjoys the expert personal assistance offered here.

This store has changed for the better in just the last couple of months. In the past, I strolled by, never interested in going in, but the window has now been cleaned up and more interesting things are on display. I have been in the shop several late afternoon/early evenings and have never seen the 11-year old owner (?). However, I have had lots and lots of help from David, who has been there most of the times I've shopped. He's terrific; brutally honest ("No, that's not good on you; the color's wrong," to "Wow! Now THAT'S fabulous!!")
I have found lots of designer labels and will continue to frequent this amazing little shop. I find the selections varied and wonderful!

This is a cool atmosphere (LPs playing, art and photos on the walls) boutique-size resale store with lots of great clothes. Things are clean, no rips or stains, in a variety of styles, sizes and eras, including recent Banana Republic, Free People, Anthropologie and Ann Taylor, right next to the funky 50's coat to-die-for. I like the boots and shoes too. And you get the feeling you're doing something nice shopping there because the people who own it really are wonderful. A note, they say they are building up their men's department and they do have some cool men's shirts, jackets and western boots, but still mostly women's.

i've been inside the store a couple of times, and every time i went in there i couldn't find anything i particularly like. The clothes are very matronly, and as for the designer clothing I don't see any big names. Even if here is the pieces are not selective enough to be high end vintage. I much prefer the old second hand shop that was in that location before.

This is a great store if you are looking for designer clothing at a great price. Recent purchases I've loved are: a brown silk skirt and top, a beautiful black designer velvet jacket, and a cute summer dress. You might even find shoes and a purse to match. They constantly have new items, so it's worth stopping by regularly.

this place is brand new. used to be a resale shop in same spot, but SECONDHAND JAZZ took its place. I found an orange brocade mini-dress from the 50s, for $25, will wear for my birthday. The new owner, Kris, bought the store because her 11-year old is interested in fashion design. He does the windows, is the buyer (amazing taste) and is there working and playing his sax most days after school. the shop is kinda small, but clean and well-organized, feels like it would be expensive but is not. plenty worth seeing ( love the shoes and purses too), fun atmosphere.
