Took our money and didn't finish the job 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

We contracted with Aspen Tree Service following Hurricane Gustav to remove two trees. They were in Baton Rouge and taking down a neighbor's tree so I assumed they were trustworthy. I made the mistake of paying the full amount in advance - yes, a terrible mistake. They took down one tree, crushed our back fence and left the trunk all over our yard and our neighbors. They started to remove the second tree but stopped halfway through. While we continued to plead that they finish the job, they ran all over the neighborhood making a quick buck from other neighbors who wanted trees trimmed before Hurricane Ike. Since they already had our money, nobody was interested in us. Every person we talked with had a different story for why they couldn't finish the job and who would call back. I have never felt so ripped off in my life. Avoid these folks if you can.

Pros: None
Cons: Fast-talking con men

Horrible Non-Customer Service (No Shows) 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Arborist was supposed to come to my house Monday between 9:00 a.m. and noon. No one came or called, so I called around 2:00 p.m. and spoke to a man to see what was happening. He said he'd talk to the guy who was supposed to come and call me back. 11/2 hours later, I called again and left voicemail. I then got a voicemail saying that the guy was busy gathering crews to go to Houston in case storm restoration on trees was needed. He said maybe I could call them again the next time I needed tree service. Fat chance! This is no way to run a business or treat customers. I'd waited in the house all day. I just got his call at 3:53 p.m. I'm sure they are chasing the big bucks so they can cash in if there's a disaster.
