After an "orange" result the one time I tried tanning from a bottle I decided to try my first spray tan. Fortunately my hairdresser knew of these professionals and gave them a glowing recommendation. I always thought spray tanning was for the young but Samantha made my skin look great for my son's wedding in Hawaii. It was very natural - more of a glow than a distinct tan which I really liked. I highly recommend Throwing Copper and their special package prices are a great bargain!

I love the girls and the tan at Throwing Copper! In the past I had done several airbrush tans and not a one of them came out as long lasting and beautiful as the one they did for me! I had lots of compliments from people asking if I had just returned from a vacation which is a great compliment since it looked so natural! Definitely a place I refer to all of my friends and clients!

This place is wonderful! A few months ago I was new to the area and was trying to find an alternative way to stay tan besides tanning beds. The reviews on Citysearch helped me make my decision to choose Throwing Copper. My experience was perfect. Both ladies are very professional and really care about how satisfied their customers are with their spray tan. I had a wonderful experience at Throwing Copper! I was in a wedding and the bride actually referred them to me. I was a little uneasy prior to my appointment but once I got there Samantha made me feel super comfortable and the tan turned out TONS better than any previous spray tans I had done. I definitely recommend them and will be going back again in the future!

The whole process was fast and painless....just follow her directions on the website and all will be perfect. I really enjoyed mine, don't try to go too dark the first time. It doesn't have the synthetic smells of most spray tans, I only have good things to say about it. I just looked really nice and bronzed for about a week! go for it!

Throwing Copper is the best airbrushing experience I have ever had. It is organic and green based so you dont have to worry about an orange looking tan. The girls are so great and flexible with booking appointments. The process is very fast, usually done within 15 minutes and before you know it you have an amazing tan! I have had several airbrush tans here and have been completely satisfied with all of them.

I have been to many a sunless tanning salon, and I have to say that this is my favorite place I have discovered to date. First of all, to compare it to a spray tanning booth, you can completely avoid the streaks, dark spots, and smudgey areas by airbrushing instead because each stroke of sun-mist they spray is applied in a light, even coat that mimics where the sun would actually tan your skin. Then, if you compare Throwing Copper to other airbrush tanning experiences in Houston, here's what to expect: they will take their time to make sure your color and coverage is perfect each time. The space is small and discreet, complete with a venting system that gets the excess tanning mist out of the air (even Nordstrom doesn't have that, and they cost more!) And, the formula is all natural, lasts a long time, and has a truly natural tan hue. I am hooked!

I recently went here on a recommendation from a friend before my bridal portraits. I am not normally the type to be comfortable in these types of situations, but Samantha made the entire process very professional and did an AMAZING job. I have had my fair share of the usual spray booths, and this is by FAR worth every penny!! I was left with NO streaks or spots, the odor was not very strong at all, and the color lasted for several days longer than other mystics!! Highly recommend!

This product gave me a natural looking tan that looked great for a few days...when it started to fade, I applied a self tanner lotion that helped to prolong the Throwing Copper tan.

So i have been getting "hued" with the lovely Stephani and Samantha for about a year now and LOVE IT. i worked for tanning salons for years and have tried every other sunless technique under the sun and this is by far the best. The attention paied to the application and the added scent just makes it that much better. I recommend it to every and anyone intersted in having a natural looking sunless tan. :)

I will never go anywhere else to get "hued". The staff is friendly and professional and the results are indistinguishable from a real tan, minus the age spots, wrinkles and the cancer. If you exfoliate before you go and keep your skin moisturized after your coloring will last for a longer time. Mine didn't noticeably fade for at least 5 days, and then I still had coloring for about 10 days total. Throwing Copper is a much safer and healthier alternative to tanning beds and it's cheaper in the long run. I highly recommend you try it.

I was in a wedding this past weekend and needed to get an even tan to even out some tan lines from the summer. I spoke with Samantha and she was very accomodating getting me an appointment to fit my schedule. The studio is really cute and clean...much better than other spray tan experiences I've had in the city. Their process and product is simply better than others out there. Samantha was a total pro and was very meticulous in her application. The ending result was a great, evenly applied Copper hue and lots of compliments on how great the tan looked from friends! I'll definitely be back to Throwing Copper and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a great tan, professional staff and a healthy alternative to tanning beds.

OMG, this was a great experience! It was my first ever hand-airbrushed tan and it lasted. I wasn't sure what to expect when I got there but I was made to feel very at ease and comfortable. My 'artist' was very knowledgeable and she consulted with me before beginning. Very professional. Best part was I got so many compliments because it looked so natural. I'm hooked!

Absolutely love this place. I was looking for a service like this that I could use regularly instead of the Mystic Tan that I frequently received. No matter how hard I tried I always ended up with certain areas of streaking with Mystic and of course the color isn't natural. The first time I received the hueing I was amazed at the results. I attented a girls dinner that night and my friends were shocked and couldn't believe how natural it looked. I love that it is applied personally so that there are no areas missed and no streaking. Throwing Copper is my new place for sunless tanning and I will be a client for life.

I tried the airbrush tanning at Throwing Copper prior to my bachelorette trip as well as my wedding. They do the most natural airbrush tanning. All of my friends commented on how natural my tan looked. You don't get the funky orange color like you do with Mystic Tan or any of the other sunless tanning I have tried. I highly recommend Throwing Copper!

I have my hair done at Blue Mambo & have been hearing the praise of Throwing Copper for months. With a Jamaican holiday on the books, I decided to go get hued....WOW!!! I've had airbrush tans before, but this experience was in a different league. From the moment I got there, I was impressed. Friendly, relaxed, clean, and very professional. I have been tanning at Throwing copper for several months now and i wouldn't think of going anywhere else. The solution they use gives me the prettiest shade of golden brown and can be adjusted from light to super dark. I love the spray technicians there they are very professional and make me feel comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a safe, non-aging way to get tanned. It is also more convenient because you can get really dark in just one spray and it's not all hot like a tanning bed.

I've tried other places in town. These ladies not only have the best product and method, but the studio is amazingly clean--not sticky and gooey like other places. Sam is a true prefectionist! I came out feeling like a sunkissed goddess. Also, they were incredibly easy to schedule with and quite flexible.
I'd say, they offer everything a busy girl needs: great product, wonderful facility, flexible appointments.

I found Throwing Copper to be exactly what I was looking for in a tanning salon. Professional, friendly and great results! The tan lasted for days and looked very natural.
